A kingdom in decline
In Viscounts of the West Kingdom, players take on the roles of viscounts struggling to maintain loyalty to the king while gaining influence among the people. The kingdom is in crisis and the future is uncertain: foresight and skill will be needed to win decisive favor.
Objective and victory points
Victory is measured in points, earned by constructing buildings, copying manuscripts, working within the castle, or acquiring new lands. Each action contributes to strengthening your influence and leaving a lasting mark on the kingdom's history.
An evolving deck
Each player starts with a small group of citizens, but will soon need to recruit characters better suited to their plans. The deck-building system allows you to expand and refine your team of cards, creating increasingly effective combinations.
Travel and influence
The board represents the kingdom, and the viscounts continually move between the various zones to perform actions and interact with society. Each movement opens up new possibilities, but also risks related to poverty and prosperity, which can hasten the end of the game.
The end of the kingdom
