🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. The birth of your polis.
In Pillars of Heracles, you lead a Greek city-state in the Archaic Age. You must guide it through trade, diplomacy, and battle to transform it into the most glorious of all, while gods and myths intertwine with your destiny.
2. The rondel as the heart of the actions.
Each turn, you carefully plan your movements across the rondel, choosing actions that allow you to gather resources, construct buildings, expand your polis' influence, and prepare new moves. The sequence of your choices is key to outmaneuvering your rivals.
3. Build your own engine.
Deckbuilding, tableaus, and set collections allow you to strengthen your strategy. New cards and monuments enrich your city-state, giving you unique powers and growing capabilities to face increasingly complex challenges.
4. Control of the territory.
Conquering cities and regions, maintaining control over strategic areas, and fulfilling the prophecies of the gods are the main ways to earn Glory. Managing your resources and troops must be balanced, as the pressure from your opponents is constant.
5. The race for Glory.
The game ends when the regional tracks are exhausted, a player controls six cities, or three Age III Prophecies are removed from the board. At that point, the player with the most Glory is declared the winner, and their polis enters the legend of ancient Greece.
