HOW TO PLAY — ROCOCO: DELUXE EDITION (in 5 steps)

1) Manage your staff of master tailors and apprentices

At the start of each round you choosewhich employee to playEach card indicates the actions that employee can actually perform (not everyone can do everything!). Some can sew, others hire staff, still others finance decorations or manage finances. Each staff member has unique skills that can give you crucial advantages.

2) Sew fine clothes and decide their fate

The central action of the game is to packmen's clothing (frock coats)Andball gownsusing fabrics, threads, and ornaments. Each creation can be:

  sold, to get money, or
  
• 
  rented, to “occupy” a room in the Grand Ball and generate prestige in the final score.
  
  Choosing what to produce and how to exploit it is the strategic heart of Rococo.
  

3) Invest in the Grand Ball's scenography

In addition to clothes you can financedecorations, music, fireworks and furnishingsThese are investments that bring prestige both immediately and at the end of the game. Decorations are limited and highly sought after: arriving late means missing out on important scoring opportunities.

4) Optimize resources, bonuses and timing of the 7 rounds

Each turn you have to balance:

• 
  money,
  
• 
  materials,
  
• 
  available spaces in the rooms,
  
• 
  skills of your employees.
  
  The Deluxe Edition includes expansions and new clothing types that expand the possible combos. Positioning within the palace is crucial: some rooms generate income, others multiply points.
  

5) At the end of the 7 rounds, the Grand Ball decrees the winner

After the fireworks, thePrestige Pointsderived from:

  rental clothes and where they are located in the building,

  prestigious employees,
  
• 
  funded decorations,
  
• 
  objectives completed.
  
  Whoever accumulates the most prestige becomes the most influential tailor at the court of Louis XV.
