It's a strategic roll-and-write game for 1–4 players, designed by Reiner Knizia, that condenses the depth of Cascadero into a more compact and fast-paced format. Each turn, you'll roll dice, choose which ones to use, and fill out your board, trying to trigger increasingly powerful scoring chains . But beware: your opponents' choices can hinder you, and opportunities never come back.

A kingdom to rebuild, one die at a time.
The great El Cascadero has begun the work of reunification, but the road is still long: bandits loom, trade routes are tangled, rivers must be crossed, and borders must be defended. In Cascadito, you are called upon to chart routes, connect cities, and build the future of a kingdom on the brink.
The power of a simple sheet of paper.
There are no miniatures or gigantic boards here: each player receives a sheet of paper and a pencil, but behind the minimalist appearance lies a deep and “combotastic” system that can explode in a chain reaction if you plan cleverly.
How it works in practice.
At the start of each round, six colored dice are rolled. Players take turns choosing one to expand their paths to a city of the same color. Each connection unlocks successes that go into the "Book of Glory"... where they can trigger devastating combos.
An ever-changing challenge.
The four available maps radically change the gameplay: Rural Beginnings to get you started, Raiding Bandits to defend the kingdom, The Two Rivers to play with water flows, and Trade and Defense to balance trade and borders. Each with its own bonuses, strategies, and follies.
Small format, great depth.

Behind Cascadito 's compact exterior lies a puzzle that will keep you puzzled and smiling: choose a die, fill a box, create connections, and unleash increasingly powerful combos . Each color represents a type of city, and each line drawn is a step toward new points and new possibilities.
It's not just a roll and write, it's a little satisfaction machine: every time a combo activates and leads to an extra bonus, you feel like you've found the right move. And when your opponents steal a die from under your nose, the tension rises... and you're already thinking about revenge.

Cascadito is a dice and placement board game designed by Reiner Knizia and published by Bitewing Games. Designed for 1-4 players with games lasting 30 to 45 minutes, it offers a strategic roll-and-write experience that retains the heart of its big brother, Cascadero , but in a faster, more portable version.
Each turn, players draw a die from the central pool to expand paths on the map , connect cities, and activate sections of the achievement book . The resulting combos allow for public achievements and private bonuses , prompting players to plan each section carefully.
With 4 unique maps, solo mode and extremely high replayability, Cascadito is the perfect title for those who love compact, intelligent and always different games .
We played it… with the dice rolling on the notepad 🐸
The first game of Cascadito was all about “wait, if I take this die it activates two cities, which activates a bonus, which… okay, I'm going!” It's one of those games where seeing a combo explode on the sheet is absurdly satisfying , even if it lasts a few seconds.
We liked the fast pace, the lightness of the rules, and the subtle nastiness of stealing the perfect die from your opponent. And when it's over, you think, "OK, next time I'll optimize the course better."
