What it's about
No declarations. The die speaks directly to the app.
Teburu W6 Dice are six-sided dice with internal accelerometers and 2.4 GHz wireless transmission. When you roll them, they read the result and communicate it to the Teburu Board via a proprietary low-latency protocol — the app receives it in real-time, without anyone at the table having to declare anything or press any buttons.
Charging happens directly on the Board's slot: you place the die with the 6 facing up and the Board recharges it. You can even charge it during the game, between rolls — no need to interrupt play. The die also has a deep power-saving mode: if it stays still, it goes to sleep and wakes up by shaking it for a few seconds or placing it in the slot.
The firmware is automatically updated via the Teburu app. Owners of Bad Karmas Vol. 1 already have one W6 die included — this two-die set is useful for those starting with a standalone expansion (Vol. 4 or Vol. 5) or wanting spare dice to play with more players simultaneously.
How it works in summary
Accelerometers detect the die's final orientation after the roll and transmit the result to the Board via a 2.4 GHz signal. The app receives it, processes it, and acts — all in less than a second.
Automatic transmission without declaration
If the die is completely discharged, it might not respond immediately — leaving it in the slot for a few minutes "wakes it up". To update the firmware: place it in the slot with the 6 facing up and follow the app's instructions.

The standalone expansions Curse of Cthulhu do not include the Teburu die — it must be purchased separately along with the Board and LED Ring. This two-die set ensures a spare die is ready.
Multiple simultaneous rolls
With two dice, each player can keep their own die close at hand. This avoids passing it across the table — every roll happens immediately on their turn.
Spare die
If the die included in Vol. 1 runs out of battery during a long session, having a second charged die in the slot prevents interruptions. You can charge the first one while playing with the second.
Two separate setups
If you play in two different locations with the same system, having a second set of dice avoids disassembling and transporting those from Vol. 1 each time — the Board recognizes them anywhere.
