The Other Side of the Hill is a historical wargame that takes you inside the halls of power of the German command during the Second World War . You are not just any general on the field, but a leader who must survive among conspiracies, interests conflicting forces and a war that becomes increasingly desperate. As the Allies advance from the east and west, Your challenge is to maintain prestige, avoid blame for defeats, and, if necessary, sabotage from within.
Each game is a mix of cooperation and betrayal : you will join forces with other players to keep the war machine alive, but you will also have to push your faction (Professionals, Old Guard or Dissidents) towards power. With Directive, Event and Featuring real historical generals, the game recreates the political and military tension of those years. What if someone is hiding darker secrets? Prepare to unmask the traitor at the table.
This re-release also includes the Twilight Generals Expansion and the Stretch Goals from the original campaign , for an even more complete experience, with new cards, scenarios and variables that expand the strategic depth of the game.

🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Play as the German High Command
Each player takes on the role of a group of officers with hidden agendas within the Wehrmacht. You are part of a system that must defend Germany, but also engaged in an internal struggle for prestige and influence.
2. Manage the war strategy
Through Directive, Event, and Historical General cards , players make decisions that influence the course of the war. Early victories may be easy, but as time goes on, the Allies will grow increasingly stronger.
3. Chase hidden goals
Everyone belongs to an interest group (Professionals, Old Guard, Dissidents, etc.) with hidden agendas to accomplish. These agendas influence your moves and often clash with the overall strategy.
4. Play between cooperation and betrayal
The game alternates moments of forced cooperation (to keep the Allies at bay) with situations of sabotage or self-preservation , where the priority is to save your group's reputation and shift the blame onto others.
5. Experiment with different modalities
In addition to classic competition for 2–4 players, the title includes cooperative, semi-cooperative and solo modes, with historically inspired challenges and the constant risk of internal conspiracies such as the “ Black Orchestra ” against Hitler.
