🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Choose your Chosen and prepare the battlefield
Each player selects a Chosen , takes their board, personal deck, and tokens. Then they build the arena with the Rym tiles and place the Hazard tokens (Tremor, Rift, Surge, Breach) that will affect movement and combat.
2. Prepare your starting hand and setup
Each player places their Chosen on the board and draws 5 cards from their deck. They can "Overhaul" to change their hand, drawing fewer cards each time.
3. Play turns in 3 phases
Each shift has three moments:

Income Phase : Draw 1 card and gain 1 Favor.

Action Phase : You have 2 actions (play cards or draw cards) and you can move for free up to the base value of your Chosen.

End-of-Turn Phase : Activate any end-of-turn effects, discard beyond the 6-card limit, gaining extra Favor.
4. Fight with cards and Favor
Attacks and defenses are resolved with cards: their values are compared, and the difference becomes damage inflicted. Each damage inflicted (or perfect defense) generates Favor , the game's currency, which can be spent to enhance unique abilities, draw extra cards, or move more.
5. Win by becoming the last Chosen in the game
The game continues in rounds until only one Chosen remains alive (or one team, in alliance mode). In the event of simultaneous elimination, the player with the most Favor wins.

The Keeper of Vaile has fallen , and now chaos spreads across the ruins of Rym. The Ascended have chosen their champions: six unique warriors, ready to fight in the Keeper's Trials. In Mantle of the Keeper, you are not just a character: you are the chosen of a god, the only one with the power to restore balance… or unleash the ultimate disaster.
Every move is tense: you navigate dimensional rifts, tremors, and dangers, unleashing devastating blows or legendary defenses. Each turn is a duel of cunning, power, and composure , and in the end, only one will survive.
A living arena of cards, powers, and twists
Mantle of the Keeper is a competitive board game for 2–4 players , where each game lasts approximately 30–60 minutes.
Here, there are no dice to control fate: instead, it's your personal deck, built around your Chosen and their unique abilities. Move across a modular board of Rym tiles, place dangerous hazards that change the rules of movement, and use Favor —the cosmic currency—to unlock increasingly devastating powers.
This title is designed for those who love skirmish card games and are looking for an experience that combines direct duels, modular arenas, and ever-changing matches. It's perfect for competitive players, but also for those who want to try it in team or solo mode, thanks to the included alternative rules.
Favor, the breath of power 🐸
The unique thing about Mantle of the Keeper is its use of Favor : every point dealt or defended isn't just damage, it's energy you can spend to upgrade your Chosen, move beyond limits, or unlock unique abilities.
The field is never static: tiles can generate fractures, tremors, and chasms that change the line of sight and the pace of the duel. Some characters, like the Artificer, can even summon arcane turrets , transforming the arena into a tactical hell. Each turn you have two actions, but infinite possibilities: attack, defend, take risks, bluff.
