Alfarinn has woven his web, pulling the threads that connect several Viking clans. The Jarls and their bravest warriors have accepted his challenge, ready to set sail for an unknown land to recover the Runestones and the precious equipment left on the battlefield by the gods of Asgard during the battle against the Jotunn. Cold and inhospitable, the Deathless Isle awaits them, and its ancient warriors are ready to defend their domains and fight off the invasion. From the port of Roskilde, the Drekars of each clan set sail with their bravest and most skilled heroes on board. The hunt for the mysterious Runestones begins now! STRATEGIC CARD GAME WITH MINIATURES Runar is a competitive board game with strong interaction and beautiful miniatures in perfect comic book style.
Each player forms and leads a band of three Viking heroes, battling opposing bands and savage creatures.
FIGHT FOR VALHALLA Earn victory points by defeating opposing Heroes, defeating powerful Enemies, and recovering Runic Fragments. Complete quests to increase your victory points, but do so before the Destiny Cards end the game!
TUTORIAL, SINGLE GAME, CAMPAIGN AND SOLO This box includes a quick tutorial to learn the basic rules.
Once you've mastered them, you can play exciting single matches against friends or organize a five-match campaign to uncover the secrets of the Deathless Isle and the Runar. For the bravest, Solo mode allows you to assemble a band of six heroes to tackle the campaign missions, relying solely on your wits.

We haven't played a full campaign yet, but Runar immediately impressed us with its powerful mix of miniatures, solid mechanics, and well-structured narrative universe .
The feeling is that of being in front of a game that is not afraid to dare : visually spectacular, tactically deep, with a strong identity from the first reading of the rules.
The idea of Rune Gems, Destiny Cards, asymmetrical powers… everything seems ready to offer epic Viking-style experiences .
