Each turn, you place a numbered tile and your token. At the end of the game, you score points only if your tokens are part of consecutive number paths. 🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Go on a numerical excursion along the mountain trails.
In this abstract and strategic board game , players take turns placing tiles numbered 1 to 37 on a central hexagonal grid. Each tile represents a section of trail, and the goal is to build consecutive numbered paths , like a real hike that takes shape step by step.
2. Mark your passage with personal chips.
When you place a tile, you can also place one of your chips on it , marking that stretch as part of your “walk.” Each chip represents a milestone you’ve conquered , but you need to choose carefully: chips are limited and should only be used where they really matter.
3. Build number sequences to score points.
At the end of the game, you search for consecutive, connected sequences of numbers on the board . If one of your chips is within a valid sequence, you score points. The longer the sequence and the more of your chips are in it, the higher your score. It's a pattern-building and visual logic board game .
4. Every number has only one place... but infinite consequences.
Each tile has a unique number , so every placement is final and crucial. It's not just about occupying spaces: you're trying to predict future connections , hinder your opponents, and create strategic intersections for your sequences.
5. Whoever plans the most coherent and intelligent path wins.
After all 37 tiles have been placed, the total score is calculated. Whoever has the most chips in valid sequences wins the game. Switchbacks is a brilliant, abstract board game with a new, playful twist that makes it accessible and rewarding for everyone.
