Survivors of the Void is the most content-rich expansion ever made for Risk of Rain: The Board Game. Based on the eponymous DLC for Risk of Rain 2, it adds two new Survivors with diametrically opposite playstyles: Railgunner, a precision sniper, and Void Fiend, a creature with a dual nature that alternates between human and void forms.
The heart of the expansion is The Planetarium, an alternative final stage to Commencement where Voidling awaits you — the boss that embodies annihilation itself. It's not just a bigger monster than the others. It's something different. And the new Void Items are the key to facing it: 13 items with corrupted properties that sometimes empower you, sometimes consume you.
36 new items in total, 5 new Equipment cards, a new base boss (Clay Dunestrider), and the final boss Voidling. The most content-dense box in the line.
Void items corrupt you: stronger than normal ones, but with a cost. The first time you pick one up, you understand you've made a pact — and you don't yet know what you've given up.

Railgunner

Void Fiend
Dual form, dual strategy. Alternates between human form (balanced) and Void form (powerful but consuming). Managing the transition is the real game — maintain balance or surrender to the Void?
The new feature that changes everything
The 13 Void Items
Void items are not "stronger items." They are a corrupted version of items you already know from the base game. More power, but with a side effect — often obscure, always present.
Taking a Void Item is a decision the group makes together: how much power is worth how much risk? Some are perfect synergies, others become a burden you carry until the final boss. Not knowing what to expect is part of the tension.
After many runs on Petrichor V, the question becomes: what lies beyond? Survivors of the Void answers by showing a place where the "after" no longer exists.
