🐸 HOW TO PLAY

1. Form teams and aim to get everyone out at the right time.

In this card board game for 4 or 6 players , the game is played in fixed teams of two . The aim is to be the first team to have all their members out . Only the team that out first will earn points... but be careful: the score depends on how late the last teammate out comes .

2. Play cards in ascending order, outplaying your opponents.

Bacon is a climbing-style game , in which you play a combination of cards (singles, pairs, three of a kind, runs, etc.) and the turn passes only if the others manage to beat your play with a higher combination. If no one raises, the player who played last takes the turn again. The goal? To get rid of your cards first .

3. If you can't win… slow down who can.

If your team can no longer exit first, your new goal is clear: prevent the rival team from exiting by keeping their players stuck for as long as possible. It's a team-based cooperative board game , where every choice matters and timing is crucial.

4. The Applewood variant offers a free-for-all mode.

With Applewood mode (for 3-6 players), there are no teams: everyone plays for themselves . The first player to exit wins, and the score depends on the exit position . A faster version, perfect for odd-numbered groups or those who prefer direct competition.

5. Whoever exploits synergies and timing wins.

At the end of the hand, only the team that went out first scores points , based on the order in which its members went out. After multiple rounds, the team with the highest score wins. Bacon is a clever and dynamic card board game , perfect for groups that enjoy bluffing, collaboration, and escalating tension.

Cat Blues: The Big Gig

Here, you don't win by being the best. You win by making others lose.

Keep them out late, get out first. A card game for teams hungry for victory.

Bacon – The board game where burning is an art… but timing is everything

In Bacon , you don't play to survive. You play to burn others.

Form your teams, choose carefully who to sacrifice, and make sure your partner goes out immediately… but not alone.

Only the first team to run out of cards can score points, but those points will depend on when the second player gets free.

And what if your team is left behind? No problem: sabotaging the other team is perfectly legal.

A strategic and ruthless card game, where cooperation is real, but so is cynicism.

And for those who love a free-for-all, the Applewood variant changes everything: every man for himself, same low blows.

Bacon – The team climbing game that gives a sense of revenge to breakfast

Bacon is a card game for 3-6 players created by Sean Ross and published by Allplay , perfect for those who love climbing-style games with a pinch of competitive venom.

In the main mode (for 4 or 6 players), the game is played in fixed teams, and only the team that goes out first earns points… but be careful: those points change depending on when the second teammate goes out too.

A fine balance between support and push , between collaboration and choosing which cards to give away first .

For odd-numbered groups (or the most sadistic), the Applewood variant eliminates teams: whoever leaves first wins, and the others… get burned.

The rules are simple, the pace fast, and the tension constant. Bacon is perfect for light evenings, large groups, and anyone looking for a game that seems harmless... but leaves a smoky aftertaste of revenge.

We played it, and we were crushing on each other 🐸

The first time we played Bacon , we thought we were just sitting down to play a “simple” card game.

After 10 minutes, suspicious glances were flying, cards were hidden, and partners were sold to the best bluff.

Bacon is sneaky, fast-paced and just the right amount of evil , with that instant classic feel that makes you want to replay it right away.

What won us over? The fact that we can only win together ... but we can easily hurt each other to get there.

With the right number of players, it's one of those titles that becomes a regular rotation on friends' evenings.
