Defeat 12 enemies in sequence, including the four Kings. Every card is an attack, every mistake is costly, and every turn can bring you one step closer to glory or defeat. Simple to learn, but incredibly tough to win.
Each player plays a card to deal damage to the enemy whose turn it is. If you defeat them, you move on to the next one. But if you take damage and don't have enough cards to pay for it... it's game over for everyone. And there's no alpha player: here you collaborate, you reason, and you hope the ace of spades comes at the right time. If you're looking for a filler with real tension and a surprising tactical component, Regicide is your ally. It's also perfect for solo play and to keep in your pocket. 🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. It is played with a normal deck of poker cards (without jokers)
Yes, indeed! Regicide uses the standard 52-card deck as the basis of the game. Suits represent special abilities, and values determine attack and defense.
2. Face the Kings: It's a cooperative boss fight
The objective is to defeat 12 bosses in sequence: 4 Pages, 4 Queens, and 4 Kings. Each boss has health points and counterattacks, dealing damage. Players work together to defeat them one at a time.
3. Play cards to attack and exploit the powers of the suits
During your turn, you play cards to deal damage to the active boss. Each suit has an ability: hearts heal, diamonds draw cards, clubs block damage, and spades deal extra hits. Well-played combos are vital.
4. Be careful when the deck runs out!
If a player cannot respond to the boss's counterattack, the group loses. The deck is limited, and only the cards won (the defeated bosses) must be carefully shuffled.
5. Win by defeating all the Kings... or lose badly
Only if the group manages to defeat all 12 bosses does it win. But one wrong move or a turn without any useful cards can ruin everything. It's a tough game, but every victory is epic.
