🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Lead a colony of ants in a turf war
In Marabunta , each player commands a colony of ants and competes for control of a modular map. The goal is to conquer and hold the most tiles at the end of the game. It's a fast-paced, tense area control board game .
2. Each turn you play a card to move and attack
Cards determine the strength and movement rate of your ants. Depending on which card you play, you can expand, invade enemy territory, or strengthen your positions. Card selection is strategic and simultaneous .
3. Ground is easily conquered… and lost.
Every occupied space can be attacked, but not all are created equal: some give more points, others offer tactical advantages. The map changes from game to game, making each challenge unique.
4. Think in packs: it's all about timing and majority
To maintain control of an area, you need a majority. But if you expand too quickly, you could find yourself exposed. It's an aggressive but intelligent game , where you have to attack at the right time.
5. The colony that dominates the most land at the end wins.
After a limited number of rounds, the controlled spaces and special points are counted. The colony that played its cards best and occupied the correct areas wins... and takes control of the anthill!

We played Marabunta with the idea of “a quick game”.
Then we did five in a row.
