The FroGames Card
One of you handles the flaps, the other the landing gear. No one can say a word. The plane swerves, the runway approaches, traffic cuts you off. Then you land—or you crash—and you figure out if you were on the same wavelength.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
Landing without speaking: the challenge that redefines cooperative play
Designed by Luc Rémond and illustrated by Eric Hibbeler and Adrien Rives, Sky Team ITA (originally Sky Team) was released in 2023 by Scorpion Masqué and immediately captivated the two-player game scene. The premise is simple and terrifying: you are a pilot and co-pilot of an airliner, and you must land. But you cannot speak to each other while operating the controls.
Each turn you roll your dice and silently place them on the shared board: one controls the aircraft's axis, the other the speed, both must coordinate flaps, landing gear, radio communications, and obstacles. A die in the wrong place can cause the aircraft to swerve off course or go too fast on the runway. Twenty-five scenarios will take you from Montreal to Tokyo, with turbulence, storms, and icy runways changing everything.
What they say abroad
"The tension of placing dice in silence is exquisite."

— Shut Up & Sit Down
When you miraculously land after an impossible game, you realize that the best cooperative games aren't about winning. They're about discovering if you truly understand each other on the fly.

The Cockpit
Four dashboards, only one possible landing
Decision Dice
Each turn you roll four each. Different values go into different spaces: a 3 can stabilize the axis, a 6 can activate the flaps. But if you need a 2 and only have 5, you start to sweat.
The Shared Aircraft Board
Axis (too steep = stall), speed (too high = off the runway), engines, flaps, landing gear. Each control requires a precise die. One of you must handle the axis while the other slows down, but no one can say 'I'll do this'.
Scenario Airports
Montreal introduces you to the system. Tokyo throws air traffic, crosswinds, and short runways at you. Each airport card changes obstacles, weather conditions, runway length. Twenty-five missions with increasing difficulty.
Coffee (and other modules)
Place a die on the coffee cup, change the value of another die. It's the only outlet when rolls go badly. Some scenarios add engines to manage, radio communications, internationals that require extra attention.

The flow of each round
Four quick phases, zero words, one goal: don't crash.
Pilot and co-pilot each roll four dice. Look at your values. You cannot say anything. Start mentally planning where to place them.
Take turns placing ONE die at a time on the shared board: axis, speed, flaps, landing gear, engines, radio, coffee spaces. Each space only accepts certain values or has immediate effects. The other person observes and tries to understand your strategy.
After placing all dice, resolve: the axis tilts or stabilizes, speed increases or decreases, systems activate. If the plane goes out of control (axis too tilted, excessive speed), you lose.
The plane advances on the runway by a number of spaces equal to the current speed. If it goes past the end of the runway without having completed all requirements (landing gear, flaps, correct speed, leveled axis), you crash. Otherwise: next round.

A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Takeoff and first breath
Roll the dice, look at the values, you look into each other's eyes trying to figure out who will do what. No one speaks. One places a die on the axis, the other on the speed. So far, so good. You think 'this is easy'.
The first problem
Second turn: the axis tilts too much, speed is high, and you've rolled badly. One of you has to sacrifice a die to stabilize instead of extending the landing gear. The other doesn't know whether to compensate or move on. Complete silence. Someone sweats.
Air traffic and impossible decisions
A plane appears on the runway; you need to clear the airspace with the radio. But to do that, you need a low die, and you only have 5s and 6s. One uses coffee to change a die. The other hopes it's enough. The plane advances, the runway gets closer. You haven't extended the flaps yet.
The legendary moment
Last turn before landing. You need to: stabilize the axis, extend landing gear and flaps, slow down to the right speed. You have four dice, six spaces to cover, zero margin for error. You place in silence. One of you closes your eyes. The other holds their breath.
Landing (or crash)
Flip the last card. The plane is on the runway, correct speed, landing gear down, axis leveled. You made it. Or: axis out of control, plane off the runway, game over. In both cases, now you can talk. And laugh, or curse, or ask 'why did you put that 4 there?'

Things to know beforehand
Three things you need to know before buying
You only have one resource (coffee) to mitigate bad rolls. If you both roll badly in the same turn, no plan will hold. Some games end in the third round due to pure bad luck. Those who hate high variance won't tolerate it.
You cannot talk, gesticulate, point, or roll your eyes. With very experienced players who know each other well, the limit becomes less strict (you read intentions from micro-gestures). With new partners, it's frustrating and wonderful together.
The first three airports are tutorials. The real challenge begins from the fifth scenario. If you only play Montreal, it will seem nice but repetitive. The last missions are brutal and require dozens of attempts. It's not a filler: it's a cooperative puzzle to unlock over time.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win and how to lose
One way to win, a thousand ways to crash.
Successful landing
- The plane reaches the end of the runway at correct speed (usually between 1 and 3)
- Axis leveled (marker in the center of the tilt bar)
- Landing gear extended and flaps activated (dice placed in the correct spaces in previous turns)
Crash
- Axis out of control: the plane tilts too much left or right and stalls
- Excessive speed: you pass the end of the runway before slowing down enough
- Collision: you don't clear the airspace in time and collide with another aircraft (advanced scenarios)
Twenty-five airports, one partner, zero words. Sky Team ITA is the cooperative game that makes you understand if you really play together or if you just think you do.

FAQ about Sky Team ITA (Sky Team)
What mechanics does Sky Team ITA use?
Dice worker placement with limited information (silent worker placement) with zero communication. It's a pure cooperative game with a campaign structure (25 progressive scenarios). Each round involves simultaneous resolution followed by variable advancement. The core system is: roll → silent placement → win/loss check.
Is it really impossible to talk, or is it just an optional rule?
It is the CENTRAL rule of the game. You can only communicate through the order and position in which you place the dice. If you talk, you are cheating and the game loses all meaning. Some versions allow only one agreed-upon gesture (e.g., touching your nose = 'I have very high rolls') but nothing else.
After how many games do you master the same scenario?
You'll solve the first three airports in 2-3 attempts. Intermediate ones require 5-8 games. The last scenarios can take 15+ attempts even for experienced players. Repeating the same scenario starts to weigh after the tenth failure: some prefer to rotate between airports instead of focusing on one.
Does it work with couples who don't usually play together?
It works BETTER. Players who have played together for years develop implicit codes that circumvent silence. With new partners, the game is purer and more difficult. It's also a great test: if you can land in Tokyo together without arguing, you probably collaborate well in life.
Does the Italian edition include all content?
Yes. Sky Team ITA is the complete Italian version published by Asmodee, with fully localized rulebook, scenario cards, and components. It includes all 25 airports from the base campaign. There are no expansions at the moment (game released in 2023).
The people behind the game
Who invented it, who designed it, who publishes it — and what else they've done.
Sky Team ITA is an exclusive cooperative game for 2 players designed by Luc Rémond, lasting 20 minutes, recommended age 10+. Each game simulates the landing of an airliner where pilot and co-pilot must coordinate without being able to communicate: you roll dice and place them silently on the axis, speed, flaps, landing gear, and radio. The limited information dice worker placement system creates pure tension as you try to avoid stalls, collisions, and off-runway landings. Twenty-five airport scenarios (from Montreal to Tokyo) progressively increase difficulty with turbulence, air traffic, and extreme weather conditions. Published by Asmodee in a complete Italian edition, Sky Team has achieved a BGG rating of 8.1 with over 34,000 votes. Available on FroGames.it with immediate shipping.
