🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. A strategic duel between iconic and legendary characters
In Unmatched: Cobble & Fog , each player chooses a hero from gothic literature—such as Sherlock Holmes, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll, or the Invisible Man—and leads them in an epic duel on a city map. It's a board game for 2-4 players but shines best in 1v1.
2. Each character has a unique deck and special power
Each hero has their own custom deck , built around their style: deductive logic for Holmes, manipulation for Dracula, aggression for Jekyll/Hyde, mobility for the Invisible Man. Games are completely asymmetrical , and each deck is a new experience.
3. The combat is simple but deep
Each turn you can move, attack, or use special abilities . Combat is resolved by playing battle cards facedown, revealing them simultaneously. Hand management is crucial: every card can be an attack… or your only escape.
4. Positioning and area control make the difference
Maps are divided into color-coded zones, and line of sight is just as important as distance. Controlling the field is essential to fully utilize your character and put your opponent in difficulty.
5. The winner is the one who eliminates all opponents… or plays more cunningly.
Victory goes to whoever manages to reduce the opposing character's life total to zero. But it's not just a matter of strength: bluffing, deck management, and tactical control can turn any situation around.

This is Unmatched at its most literary and dark, and it won us over from the first turn of the page.
We've played it in every configuration, and every time it changes: Dracula slowly sucks the will to live (and win) out of you, the Invisible Man is a lethal ghost, Sherlock forces you to think three moves ahead, and Jekyll/Hyde... well, let's just say he has two souls and only one desire: to win.
For us, it's one of the best 2-player board games we've ever played, and we recommend it to both strategy game fans and those who love narrative gameplay.
Few games make you feel so deeply inside the character.
