Place tiles, move your ship, and work with other players to complete the map. Each completely surrounded tile represents a successfully explored area: the more you complete, the higher your score. 🐸 COME SI GIOCA
1. Explore the coast with your patrol boat and place map tiles
In Lighthouses of the North , players control patrol boats and work together to explore a stretch of sea by placing tiles representing ports, lighthouses, shoals, and safe waters. It's a simple yet strategic cooperative tile-laying board game .
2. Each turn you move your ship and place adjacent tiles
You can move up to 2 spaces orthogonally, then place a tile from your hand only if it matches the existing grid. Placement is constrained: you must start from your physical location .
3. The tiles must match perfectly to be valid
Each tile has edges representing coastlines or seas. If the edges don't match adjacent ones, you can't place a tile. The challenge is to plan your movements and rotations to maximize exploration without wasting tiles .
4. Cooperation is essential to cover the entire map
The tile deck is limited and shared. Players must help each other to reach difficult areas, open new routes, and make the most of every placement. Coordination and a shared vision are required.
5. You win with the highest score based on the area explored
At the end of the game, your score is determined by the number of tiles placed correctly and the completeness of the explored area. The more efficient you are, the higher your coastal patrol rating will be!
