🐸 HOW TO PLAY
Sail the Caribbean. Each round, you move your ship along a route across the Caribbean Sea, stopping in cities or towns to perform strategic actions.
Make use of cities and villages. In cities, you can deliver goods, complete quests, or build projects, while in villages, you can choose quicker but less powerful actions.
Manage your cards. Cards represent projects, allies, and opportunities: using them at the right time allows you to create powerful combinations and optimize your strategy.
Increase your influence. During the game, you earn points by supporting the three colonial powers, fighting for them, and increasing your political and military influence.
Experience story mode. In addition to the classic game, you can embark on an episodic adventure, with quests and new tiles that enrich the narrative and your gameplay choices.

Over the course of four rounds , players navigate a ring-shaped track, visiting cities, completing contracts, developing their economic engine and, most importantly, accumulating military influence with France, Spain and England.
Multi-use cards offer difficult choices between permanent upgrades and immediate resources. The heart of the game is precise movement management, with quick but tense turns .
The optional narrative Legacy mode adds quests and branching paths that unlock over time, offering insane replayability.
Maracaibo is perfect for those looking for a game of exploration, optimization and strategic depth , with a really well-built solo mode .

Maracaibo is one of those games that gets into your head. It has just the right amount of complexity, but it's never paralyzing. Pfister proves himself a master of strategic balance : every choice matters, every game has a story.
We loved the variety of approaches: you can focus entirely on diplomacy, or dive into contracts and quick profits. But the real gem is the integrated narrative , which never interferes with the gameplay.
If you love Great Western Trail or Blackout: Hong Kong , you’ll find that feeling here… with more wind in your hair.
