GAME OBJECTIVE
In Thieves of Eldris, you play as a team of cunning thieves competing to become the richest and most respected criminal in the city. Your goal is to accumulate the most victory points by collecting sets of loot cards, recruiting accomplices, and exploiting the special abilities of different factions, while trying to sabotage your opponents' plans.

PREPARATION
Shuffle the main deck containing Loot, Guards, and Special Cards. Deal each player an initial hand of cards (the number varies depending on the players). Place the Public Objective cards in the center of the table, which will provide additional bonuses at the end of the game. Each player also receives a Character card with a unique ability.

SHIFT PROGRESS
The game takes place in a series of rounds based on the drafting mechanic:

1. **Choice:** Each player selects a card from their hand and places it face down in front of them.
2. **Reveal:** Everyone reveals their cards simultaneously.
3. **Action:** Cards are activated or added to your collection (the "Lair"). Some cards allow you to steal from your opponents, others to protect your loot or discard inconvenient cards.
4. **Pass:** Players pass the remaining cards in their hand to their neighbor (on the left or right, depending on the round).

END OF GAME AND SCORE
The game ends when all cards have been played. The points are calculated:

- **Set Collection:** Each loot type (Jewels, Artifacts, Coins) awards points differently (e.g. exponential, majorities, unique sets).
- **Goals:** Points are awarded for public goals achieved.
- **Penalty:** Unhandled "Guard" or "Alarm" cards can deduct valuable points.

Whoever scores the highest is crowned **Thief King of Eldris**!
