The Sheep is a cooperative game designed by Luke Schwanger, Jeremy Stark, and Kyle Talbert for Zero Strategy Games. The premise overturns every convention: sheep have developed intelligence and violence, pushing humanity to the brink of extinction. Players take on the role of Shepherds, an organization founded to confront this improbable but deadly threat. The illustrations by Ferdinand Dumago Ladera, Jasper Miller, Aji Prasongko, and Elisa Serio balance horror with a deliberately absurd aesthetic.
Each game is a survival campaign: during the day you equip the Shepherds, during the night you defend caravans from waves of hostile sheep. Turns are simultaneous, events are random, and each Shepherd has a personal tableau with progressive upgrades. Cooperative tension mixes with moments of involuntary comedy when the world's most unlikely threat becomes real.

What you have to survive the night
Shepherd Tableau
Each player develops their character with unique upgrades. During the day, choose how to enhance defenses, movement, or special attacks for the next night.
Caravans
Convoys of survivors crossing hostile territories. You must protect them from nightly waves: if a caravan falls, humanity loses another piece.
Night Events

THE WOOLLY APOCALYPSE
The Sheep is a cooperative tower defense game on wheels that challenges players to coordinate perfectly. The core mechanics are divided into two distinct phases: Day, where the Shepherds move, acquire equipment, and prepare defenses, and Night, where the sheep mutate and attack en masse. The simultaneous turn system eliminates downtime, keeping the adrenaline pumping. With enemy AI that adapts and becomes increasingly aggressive, every decision matters: do you sacrifice your health to save a stash, or risk it all for a legendary power-up?
