What it's about
The Egypt of farmers, not pharaohs
Tameri flips the perspective. No conquests, no giant pyramids to build as monuments to power. Here you are at the center of a real year of life along the Nile: floods, sowing, harvests, droughts. The game, designed by Tommaso Alisonno and P.S. Martensen with illustrations by Samuele Gaudio, brings an ancient civilization to the table, told from the bottom up, through daily trades.
The mechanic everyone remembers after the first game is the transparent pyramid in the center of the board. Colored marbles pass through it and fall into the three seasonal rivers — it's the pyramid that determines the weather, not dice. Meanwhile, you cultivate the Nile's fields, build sphinxes, assign priests to temples, and accumulate prestige. Eight interwoven eurogame mechanics — drafting, hand management, tableau building, simultaneous action — without the rules ever becoming cumbersome.
This is the Gamefound Edition: the version that campaign backers helped bring to its maximum potential. Plastic tray, numbered outer sleeve, illustrated player screens, screen-printed wooden meeples and sphinxes, two extra temple cards, and four solo campaign scenarios that the retail version will not have.

Four pillars of your civilization
The Nile's fields
Cultivate wheat, flax, papyrus. The weather decides what grows — you decide what to sow before the season begins.
The marble pyramid
At the center of the board. Colored marbles descend through the levels and define the weather of each season. Unpredictable but visible.
Temples and priests
Assign your priests to the gods' temples. Each deity offers a different bonus — the struggle for the best spots is the heart of the interaction.
Sphinxes and prestige
Build monumental sphinxes to accumulate prestige. The winner is whoever best combines agriculture, faith, and architecture at year's end.
Tameri is not played against opponents. It is played against the river, against the sky, against the passage of time — and against one's own ability to read what the pyramid has already decided.
