FroGames — Moments You'll Remember
The letter in your hand, the theme on the table, and your child shouting the answer before you. Every time.
What it's about
The "Name Places Things" that kids can finally win
Rémy Wannebroucq took one of the most beloved word games of all time and transformed it into something much faster, much louder, and — strangely enough — much more fun for adults too. Quickstop Kids is published by ATM Gaming and distributed by Asmodee Italia.
Each player holds a few letter cards. A theme appears on the table — a funny animal, a strange profession, something colorful. Whoever first finds a word that starts with one of their letters shouts it out and discards the card. After three answers, the theme changes. The first to run out of cards wins the round.
No pen, no paper, no turns. Just speed, imagination, and a few shouts of triumph. The rules can be explained in a minute — you play immediately, you laugh immediately.

What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Deal the cards, everyone ready
Each player takes their letter cards — how many depends on age. Children get more than adults. The game balances itself, without anyone needing to explain it. The pre-game tension is already in the air.
The first theme — and chaos begins
A theme card is turned over. "A funny animal." In a second someone shouts "Echidna!" with the letter E in hand and places it on the table. Another is late — already second. The third has no suitable letters and waits, sweating, for the next opening.
Three answers and the theme changes
After three words, the theme rotates — a new, unexpected one arrives. Whoever was ahead gets stuck. Your son, who had been waiting for three turns with the right letter in hand, bursts out with the perfect answer. The leaderboard flips. Again.
The most creative answer of the evening
There's always a moment in every game of Quickstop Kids. A strange theme, a difficult letter, and someone who finds such an original word that everyone stops to laugh — even those who were losing. That answer is quoted for weeks.
Someone runs out of cards. Play again immediately.
The round ends in a flash. The winner is already happy, the loser wants revenge. The cards are shuffled — thirty seconds and it starts again. Quickstop Kids leaves no break between games. There's no need.
How to play
The flow of each round
Three rules, one goal, infinite words. Explained in sixty seconds, played immediately.
Each player receives their cards based on age: 5 cards for the youngest (under 8), 6 for those over 8, 7 for adults. Those with more cards have more chances — but must discard more to win.
A theme card is revealed. Everyone plays simultaneously — no turns. Whoever finds a word that starts with one of their letters says it aloud and places the card on the table. Speed above all.
As soon as three players have answered, the theme automatically changes. The third person to answer turns over a new theme card. The pace never stops — whoever was late finds an opening in a second.
The round ends when a player runs out of all their letter cards. Whoever loses scores one point for each card left in hand. This accumulates round by round — but often people stop counting and just play again.
Why it's different from others
Six reasons why it always works
Simultaneous, not turn-based
Everyone plays at the same time. No one waits, no one gets bored. The energy level at the table remains high from start to finish.
Balanced for mixed ages
Children receive fewer cards than adults — but often have faster reflexes. The mechanism creates real equality between generations without penalizing anyone.
240 themes designed for children
Funny animals, colors, amusing professions, nature things. Each theme is accessible from age 7 but open enough to make adults think too.
Builds vocabulary through play
The pressure of time and the variety of themes encourage players to look for new words. Children leave each game having heard — and used — words they didn't know before.
Zero setup, zero cleanup
Open the box, deal the cards, start. No board, no tokens, no preparation. It ends just as quickly — everything back in in thirty seconds.
Grand Prix du Jouet 2024
The most important recognition in the toy industry in France, Speed Game category. It's no coincidence — it confirms that the game really works with families.
How it ends
Win, lose — and play again immediately
The game is very short. The rematch is immediate. It's designed to be played multiple times in a row.
Victory
- You are the first to run out of all letter cards in your hand
- The loser accumulates one point for each card left
- Multiple rounds are played — the one with the fewest points wins
Round End
- Each letter card left in hand is worth one point against you
- The next round starts immediately — no long waits
- The last one can make a complete comeback in the next round
Quickstop Kids is the game that brings children and adults together without disadvantaging anyone. Fifteen minutes that are worth an entire evening.
Frequently asked questions
Quickstop Kids FAQ
Don't adults always win against children?
No — and that's precisely the strong point. The card distribution system compensates for age: younger children receive fewer, so they have to discard fewer to win. But above all, speed counts more than vocabulary. A 7-year-old with good reflexes regularly beats a slow adult. It's one of the few categories where this actually happens.
Is it also suitable as a gift for children who don't play often?
Yes, in fact — it's one of the best for those who have never played. The rules are explained in sixty seconds, there are no components to arrange, there's nothing to build or prepare. You open the box and start. It's also a great first game for children from families who don't usually play board games.
What's the real minimum age to play?
The recommended age range is 7 and up, and it corresponds well to reality: at 7, children already have enough vocabulary to answer themes and the necessary speed to keep up. Under 6, it can be frustrating. At 8-9 years old, they are already in the ideal range — and children of that age often win against their parents.
How many games can be played before seeing the same themes again?
With 240 themes and letters that change each round, the variety lasts for quite a few sessions. It's not infinite — after many games, some themes will reappear — but for a 15-minute game, this is more than acceptable longevity. Seeing themes again also works very well: the words change every time.
Can it be played by two people?
Yes, it also works with two players — but the best experience is with 4 or more players. With two, the competition is tenser and more direct, but it lacks some of the collective chaos that makes the game so energetic. If you often play with two, consider playing with two "hands" each — a small home variant that works well.
Is it in Italian?
Yes, completely. Quickstop Kids is distributed by Asmodee Italia and is available in an Italian edition with themes and rules in Italian. The themes are designed to be accessible to Italian children — no strange translations or difficult cultural references.
