You have five freshly baked cakes. You sell one immediately: you pay the wages. You put the other four in the display case for the King. Who wins—the one who sold the most or the one who impressed Louis XV? In the end, no one really knows.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT
The patisserie in the time of the Sun King
Louis XV is organizing a festival in the gardens of Versailles, and you run one of the pâtisseries called upon to provide sweets for the event. Designed by Stefan and Louis Malz, La Pâtisserie Rococo takes the deck-building system of the original Rococo (court dresses) and transports it into the world of 18th-century French patisserie. Illustrator Fabrice Weiss recreates the opulent, gilded aesthetic of the era.
Hire pastry chefs (cards that enter your deck), buy quality ingredients, and bake exquisite desserts. Then the dilemma arises: sell them immediately to collect cash or display them at the festival to gain prestige points and noble favors. Profit pays the wages. Fame wins the game. Balancing the two is the essence of the game.

La Pâtisserie Rococo
The game includes official rules for solo play with tiered scoring goals and a penalty system to simulate competition for ingredients. The experience is complete (all mechanics work), but it lacks the pressure of other players stealing the best cards from the common market. Excellent for learning the game or for those who love optimizing their own engine without distractions.

Staff Cards
Each pastry chef has unique abilities: some reduce costs, some unlock complex recipes, others let you draw extra cards. Hire well, and your deck becomes an engine.
Ingredients
Flour, butter, eggs, sugar: each recipe requires specific combinations. Quality ingredients cost more but give extra points. The market is limited.
Desserts
Cakes, pastries, spoon desserts. You bake them: once they are ready, you decide whether to sell them for money or display them at the festival for prestige points and favors.
Noble Favors
By displaying specific desserts, you gain the favor of dukes, marquises, and counts. At the end of the game, they are worth victory points and can turn the leaderboard around.

CHALLENGE BETWEEN OVENS AND SALONS
The Art of Pastry Making
Calculate every move as the flour flies and the tables fill.
The secret to success lies not only in the recipes, but in perfect timing. Knowing when to send a boy to market and when to let the master chef work is the true art of this challenge.
Resources are shared, and places of honor in the royal halls are limited. Each turn forces you to choose between quickly completing a small tray or investing precious turns in a marzipan sculpture.
When you finally present your creation in the main ballroom, the satisfaction is equal to the effort. Seeing your opponents scramble for crumbs makes all the effort worthwhile.
Where it rewards you
Where it tests you
This wonderful adventure establishes itself as an excellent board game, blending meticulous planning and a dreamy aesthetic. Putting your skills to the test in a ruthless competition on the central board, you'll have to optimize the use of your cards to overcome your opponent's defenses. The entire gaming experience thus transforms into a constant race for precious victory points, guaranteeing hours of entertainment for those seeking a clever and profound pastime.
