1. Choose your insect and prepare for combat.
Each player selects an insect fighter with a unique shape and special ability. Discs represent their mass and are used to push their opponents out of the ring. It's a competitive board game with simple rules but surprising physicality.
2. Push smartly: every move counts.
Players take turns placing a wooden disc on the edge of the arena and pushing it in a fluid motion. The goal is to push opponents out of the ring, but also to earn new discs from those that fall. This mechanic combines skill and visual strategy .
3. Use your Kabuto's abilities to turn the tables.
Each insect has a character board with a special move that can turn the tide of battle. Some allow you to move two discs at once, others use unique shapes. A touch of asymmetry that adds variety to the family board game .
4. The ring gets narrow: pay attention to your balance.
With each disc pushed, the arena changes. Positioning, angle, and force become crucial. Precision and intuition are required to keep your own pieces from falling and to destabilize the others. The tension builds with each push.
5. Last bug in the ring? You win.
The game ends when you are the only insect left on the field . Games are quick, perfect for multiple consecutive rounds. Sakura Slam is a refined and visually inspired version of the classic Kabuto Sumo, ideal for those looking for a tactile, original, and engaging board game.
