In Too Deep is a light-hearted, yet mean, investment board game : five companies descend into the depths to seek opportunities, and you play as a merciless shareholder. The deeper a company sinks, the more valuable it becomes... but a sudden crash can ruin the party.
The beauty is the constant tension between greed and prudence: you want to push the “right” companies deeper and deeper to increase their value, but you also have to understand when it’s time to cash in and when you’re about to take the classic step longer than your fin.
On your turn, you build your portfolio: you buy company shares or let them fall to profit from your investments. Each company also has an ability to exploit: discounts, extra profits, targeted price drops... small levers that make a big difference.
Replayability comes from the double-sided company cards: countless combinations of abilities change the metagame and force you to reread the table every time. A cheap, fast-paced card game , perfect for those who like to say, "Don't worry, it's just finances"... while preparing their heist.
