🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. A war of honor between two ancient clans.
In For the Emperor , two clans face off in a strategic duel for control of seven battlefields . Each player takes command of one of the clans and, turn after turn, sends their most valiant warriors to fight for glory… and for the Emperor.
2. Every warrior has strength, but also cunning.
Warrior cards aren't just numerical values: many have special abilities that trigger tactical effects. Some warriors return cards , others boost allied forces , and still others shift the balance of power across an entire front.
3. One card is played at a time, but the tension is constant.
Each turn, players place a card on one of seven battlefronts , visible to both players. The game is a constant back-and-forth of calculated moves, bluffing, countermoves, and deck management. Will you know when to attack and when to retreat?
4. Domain is measured field by field.
A player controls a battlefield if he has more total strength on that front than his opponent. At the end of the game (when both players have run out of cards), the player who controls the most battlefields out of seven is determined. The winner is determined by an absolute majority .
5. Short, tense, deep: every game is a mental challenge.
