Antscape is a family board game where you lead a colony of ants across a shared landscape: expand your territory, conquer valuable areas, and build a colony that, piece by piece, becomes your final score.
It's fast, clean, and surprisingly tactical: each turn you have to decide whether to push the map or grow your card engine. It seems simple... until you realize that a choice made now changes everything in two turns.
On your turn, you choose: conquer a region by playing the right combination of cards, or recruit an ant to access stronger cards and better options later. Then you reload your hand and start again: fast-paced and without frills.
Plus, there are bonus cards that add twists and a special card for each player that lets you reshape the terrain to your advantage: this is where the good-natured nastiness comes in, the kind that makes you say, "OK, smart move."
