Alibi isn't your typical deductive game. The main mechanic here is guided narration . Each player receives a personal deck that reveals pieces of the story, turn after turn. There's no GM: the plot emerges organically from your statements.
The stroke of genius? Total information asymmetry. You play as a character, you know their secrets, but you're unaware of your own guilt until the "Revelation" card. This creates a unique dynamic: you defend yourself with conviction, but deep down you fear you're the monster everyone's looking for.
