A stormy sea, one certainty: fame.
In Ahoy, players embark on a seafaring adventure where sharks, mollusks, and smugglers vie for control of the waves. This isn't just a simple naval battle: each faction has its own goals, playstyle, and way to earn glory.
An asymmetrical but immediate game.
Up to four players compete in a strategic and slightly asymmetrical board game :
– Bluefin Squadron patrols the waters ferociously, maintaining order and dominating through force.
– The Mollusk Union unites creatures of the deep to reclaim the seas as their ancestral home.
– Smugglers , in multiplayer games, take risks by crossing naval blockades to deliver valuable goods to the highest paying players.
A map that comes to life.
Each game builds a unique archipelago with double-layer tiles: treasure-filled islands, treacherous wrecks, and raging currents. The sea changes turn after turn, making each challenge different and unpredictable.

An asymmetrical board game of conquest and maritime adventure
Ahoy is a strategic board game for 2 to 4 players , set in a world of pirates, underwater factions, and secret trade routes. Each player controls a faction with unique abilities: the Bluefin Squadrons maintain order with muscle and guns, the Mollusk Union fights to reclaim their sunken lands, while the Smugglers navigate conflicts, delivering valuable goods to the highest bidders.
The map is modular and built by exploring the sea: every game is different , full of currents, wrecks, and contested areas. Mechanics include tile placement, area control, and pick-up & deliver , with a very elegant dice-based worker system.
Perfect for those looking for an asymmetric board game packed with interactions , yet more accessible than titles like Root or Oath , from which it inherits the soul but with a more agile pace. And with Kyle Ferrin's illustrations, every card is a small masterpiece.

We enjoyed Ahoy because it's not your typical pirate game : here you maneuver, calculate, bluff, and occupy spaces with increasing tension. Its true strength lies in its clean asymmetry : each role has different but coherent gameplay, and the strategies clash naturally on the board. The modular map system ensures games are always different, and four-player games become true maritime romances.
It's not a complicated game, but it can be just the right amount of mean , with plenty of room to think... and sink.
