Each turn, you choose a dinosaur tile and an objective tile. Dinosaurs must be placed so that they overlap at least part of a tile already played. Objectives and placement require cunning: herbivores and carnivores must eat to survive, but if carnivores go hungry... they hunt among your dinosaurs! 🐸 COME SI GIOCA
1. Build your dinosaur herd, one piece at a time.
In this placement and resource management board game , players alternate between choosing dinosaur tiles and objective tiles , which they place in their personal area. The objectives remain to the side for the final score, while the dinosaurs are placed on top of existing ones, creating a sort of "active fossil."
2. Place dinosaurs logically by overlapping the tiles.
Each tile represents a herbivore or carnivore , small, medium, or large in size. Tiles must be placed on top of existing tiles , partially or completely covering them. This arrangement creates adjacent herds that must be fed… or face extinction.
3. Feed them well, or carnivores will devour them.
Dinosaurs need nearby food sources to survive. Carnivores will have no qualms about eating nearby herbivores if they're starving! Tar pits and other hazards can also kill entire herds, making every placement a calculated risk.
4. Each turn is a crucial choice between points and survival.
Choosing whether to take a strategic dinosaur tile or an advantageous objective can determine victory. Objectives require specific conditions on your board, and pursuing them can lead to risky moves. It's a familiar board game but with gamer-like decisions .
5. Whoever best nourishes and preserves their prehistory wins.
Ultimately, each living, well-fed dinosaur is worth points based on its size. Healthy, well-managed herds will make a difference. Chomp is a strategic, tactile board game , quick to explain but rich in interactions, with a visual component that makes it irresistible.

In Chomp , the law of the jungle is clear: eat or be eaten .
Each tile you place is a dinosaur—peaceful herbivore or hungry carnivore—and you must carefully fit them together into a living mosaic, hoping they have access to food… and don’t devour each other.
You form packs, place food sources, and navigate tar pits, mass extinctions, and little prehistoric vendettas .
Simple in its rules, but with a surprising strategic tension, Chomp is a fast, intelligent and just the right amount of lethal board game .
Chomp – Pocket-Sized Strategy Board Game About Dinosaurs (and Hunger)
Chomp is an abstract board game set in the world of dinosaurs , designed for 1-4 players and suitable for families and casual gamers.
During the game, each player creates a personal tableau by overlapping dinosaur tiles in a three-dimensional pattern, trying to form herds of the same type, guaranteeing them access to food and preventing them from ending up in the carnivores' hunting zone.
With 20-minute games and an immediate learning curve, Chomp is perfect as a quick filler or for light evenings with friends , with an environmental twist that makes it unique in its category.
We played it… and our brontosaurus ended up badly 🐸
Chomp made us laugh, swear, and count the surviving Triceratops like a BBC documentary.
The tile-stacking mechanic is ingenious and forces you to think deeply, even if it's quite lengthy.
But the real strong point is the indirect interaction : stealing the right tile before another player does is a rare satisfaction, and seeing an entire pack become extinct from starvation… well, it's almost cathartic.
