🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. A puzzle to be deciphered page after page.
In The Voynich Puzzle, each player has their own book, a manipulable version of the mysterious manuscript. The goal is to accumulate more Overall Knowledge than their opponents by advancing through the pages and sharing their discoveries with the group.
2. The turn begins by choosing a new double page.
You can't stay on the same page twice in a row: open the book and decide whether to advance the cards, respecting the conditions linked to the Research tokens, or activate the printed actions. Each page represents one of the five sections of the manuscript: Botany, Astrology, Baths, Writing, and Recipes.
3. Actions grow knowledge.
You plant leaves, make drops of water flow, study the stars, translate texts, or combine ingredients in recipes. Each advancement moves your Knowledge tokens along the tracks: when you pass certain thresholds, you earn Sharing tokens, essential for placing new pieces of the great shared puzzle.
4. The central puzzle is the key to everything.
Every time you share knowledge, you place new tiles that unlock opportunities for other players as well. Placing your pieces correctly becomes crucial to earning final points and continuing to advance the pages of your book, which turn and rotate as they are deciphered.
5. The end of the game comes with absolute knowledge.
When a player reaches the final space on the Total Knowledge track, the round ends and everyone takes one last turn. Then, the points derived from the central puzzle and the scoring conditions on the active pages of their book are calculated. The player who deciphers the manuscript most wisely wins.

The Voynich Puzzle is a competitive but knowledge-sharing board game for 1-4 players based on the legendary Voynich Manuscript: a real book, undeciphered for centuries.
Each player plays an expert who explores the five thematic areas of the text (botany, astrology, ritual baths, writing, recipes), combining deck building , pattern building , tile placement and action management mechanics.
On your turn, you choose pages to explore, activate actions, accumulate knowledge, and contribute to the overall decipherment of the manuscript. But beware: every fragment revealed also helps your rivals.
The game is a brilliant mix of strategy, competition and shared progression , with narrative elements and a strong visual identity.
