🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Objective of the game
In Ra, you play as a pharaoh trying to leave your mark on the history of Ancient Egypt. Your goal is to accumulate the most victory points through auctions and tile collections, spread across three game eras.
2. Shift Structure
In turns, players can choose whether to draw a new tile from the bag and add it to the auction track, or to start an auction by declaring "Ra." Some Ra tiles force an auction to start immediately, speeding up the pace of the game.
3. The auctions
When an auction begins, players bid using their numbered Sun tiles. The highest bidder takes all the tiles on the track, discarding any disaster tiles and adding the rest to their board. The Sun tile used by the winner moves to the center and will be recovered in the next round, while the center tile goes to the winning player.
4. Types of tiles
The tiles represent aspects of Egyptian civilization: Nile Rivers, Floods, Pharaohs, Monuments, Gods, and Civilizations. Each category scores differently (sets, majorities, unique collections, permanent points), encouraging players to plan their auctions carefully.
5. End of era and score
An era ends when the maximum number of Ra tiles has been drawn. The points on the accumulated tiles are then counted and the game resets for the next era. After the third era, the player with the most victory points is declared the most glorious pharaoh.
