In Dorfromantik: The Duel, there is no longer any collaboration: two players (or two teams) challenge each other to create the most harmonious landscape, respecting the villages' tasks and optimizing the hexagonal tiles.
The mechanics remain the same as those that won over the Spiel des Jahres 2023 , but now the tension is growing: who will be able to make the best use of each tile drawn, creating enchanting landscapes and completing the objectives with the most precision? With new missions (double and circular) and independent modules that add variety and interaction, each match becomes a tactical duel where aesthetics and strategy walk hand in hand.

From cooperative to direct challenge
Following the success of Dorfromantik: The Board Game , the experience transforms into a duel. You no longer work together, but face off: each player expands their landscape with the same newly revealed tile, trying to score more points than their opponent.
Always unique hexagonal landscapes
Fields, rivers, forests, and villages fit together to form a harmonious... or competitive world. Your placement choices determine the flow of the game, with ever-changing combinations and strategies that change with each game.
New assignments, new challenges
With the "double" and "all-around" tasks come new challenges that test your planning skills. More variations, more interaction, more chances to surprise your opponent at just the right moment.
Modular expansion and compatibility
The game introduces two independent modules that increase variety and complexity. Some of the new special tiles can also be integrated into Dorfromantik: The Board Game , enriching the original cooperative experience.
Who will create the most harmonious village?
At the end of the game, the winner is the one who has built the most beautiful and coherent landscape, best fulfilling the villagers' requests. This game is for two players (or teams), with the possibility of up to four people playing two copies.

In Dorfromantik – The Duel the fairytale atmosphere remains, but this time the game is played one-on-one , each player expanding their own hexagonal world.
It will be a gentle challenge, made of perfectly fitted landscapes , ingenious missions , and that subtle tension that arises when your river is perfect… but your opponent's is just a tad better.

Dorfromantik – The Duel is a competitive yet relaxing board game for 2 players (or teams), based on placing hexagonal tiles to create harmonious landscapes.
Designers Michael Palm and Lukas Zach retain the original spirit of Dorfromantik (winner of Spiel des Jahres 2023), but transform it into a friendly competition of cunning, planning and visual beauty .
Each turn, players draw the same tile, but place it in their own world, trying to complete orders (old and new) and optimize each space with additional modules and special tiles .
A perfect experience for families , for those who love puzzle and city building games, but also want a pinch of light and challenging rivalry .
