In Dom Pierre , you play an entrepreneur in the heart of 18th-century Champagne, as small abbeys give way to the first great Maisons. Your goal is not just to produce sparkling wine: it is to become a legend . It all begins in the vineyards, where every decision is imbued with ambition.
2. A management game with a sparkling heart.
Each turn is a delicate balance between production, logistics, and promotion: you move a disc along the central board and activate an action, which will become more powerful as the game progresses. Simple? Only apparently. You'll have to choose between planting new vineyards, purchasing grapes, expanding your cellar , hiring vendors, and strengthening every segment of your Maison. Every choice is a toast... or a regret.
3. From rows to the royal palace: every move counts.
The wine you produce will be sent along four trade routes to Europe (and beyond), seeking prestige rather than money. For 2 to 4 players , with games lasting 90-120 minutes , it offers a constant tension between internal optimization and external competition for the most profitable markets.
You'll have to manage Champagne production with finesse, including harvests, fermentations, logistics, and promotion. Every choice has a cost and potential: anticipating others means dominating, but without a long-term vision... everything goes to waste.

The mechanics are fluid, the progression of actions is brilliant, and the market map adds a touch of prestige racing that never hurts.
We played it with those who love Castles of Burgundy , Barrage or Lorenzo the Magnificent , and it convinced everyone.
The production is accurate (true export components), but it is the elegant mathematical heart that makes it a game to be savored.
Better with 3-4 players , but even with 2 it doesn't lose its charm.
Highly recommended… even if you'll want to open a real bottle afterwards.
