🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Step into the shoes of an Earth ambassador.
In this competitive board game set in space , each player takes on the role of an ambassador for the EGO (Extraterrestrial Greeting Organization), aiming to gain intergalactic prestige and enter the Galactic Senate. Diplomacy is everything, but ego matters too… and a lot.
2. Face galactic events between auctions, risks and drafts.
The game is punctuated by main and secondary events that require auctions, risky choices, hand management, and drafting. Each event represents contact with a new alien civilization, and players compete to gain the favor (or avoid the disdain) of these extraterrestrial interlocutors.
3. Push your luck… but don’t overdo it.
The heart of the game is the push-your-luck and controlled-risk system: you'll often have to decide whether to continue betting high to get bonuses, or stop to avoid risking heavy penalties. A constant tension, perfect for those who love strategic board games with intelligent gambling mechanics .
4. Build your reputation round after round.
During the game, you accumulate prestige points , but also potential penalties if alien civilizations find you… unpleasant. Card management, priority auctions, special abilities, and broadcast events make every decision a mix of calculation, bluffing, and intuition.

EGO is one of those titles where every choice is a social gamble, every auction a mental challenge, every event a disguised threat.
The heart of the game is risk, and the most successful part is the tension that builds at the table when everyone wants the same thing… but only one can get it without losing face.
It reminded us how badly Knizia can do things with simple mechanics, and how politics – even in the galaxy – is a game of image.
A title that doesn't forgive the cowardly, but also punishes the presumptuous. Just like life itself.
