The Dream of the Hanging Gardens
In Babylon, you are an architect called upon to design the gardens that King Nebuchadnezzar II intends to give to Queen Amytis. Your task is to excavate, build, and decorate, creating terraces that will amaze the king and become legend.
The quarry as the heart of the game
The box itself becomes the quarry, from which you draw Terrace tiles. Each tile you choose provides you with a variable number of columns, essential for supporting and raising the levels of your personal garden. The position of what you take matters: it influences your resources and future moves.
Tall building
On your board, build terraces by overlapping tiles level by level. The higher the garden, the greater the possibilities for decoration and scoring, but it also becomes more complex to manage the columns and the structure's stability.
Decorations and optimization
Fountains, flowers, and ornamental details don't just make gardens beautiful: their point value changes depending on the level they're placed on. Balancing aesthetics and functionality is the key to transforming a simple garden into an architectural masterpiece.
