🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Lead your Queen
Each player starts with a unique Queen , who profoundly influences the colony's strategy. This determines your style: more aggressive, more exploratory, or nest-building.
2. Leverage key actions
Each turn, you choose one of six main actions : dig, explore, harvest, incubate, play cards, or defeat enemies. The strength of each action depends on the number of ants you choose to deploy, from 1 to 4.
3. Manage the life cycle
The core of the game is the colony's life cycle : eggs, larvae, and adult ants. Each specialization (diggers, explorers, gatherers) serves a different purpose, and wildcard ants allow you to fill gaps at just the right time.
4. Build the nest and conquer the garden
Underground, place room tiles to complete areas of the nest and earn stars (victory points). Above ground, explore hexes that reveal resources and enemies, while harvesters create supply chains that bring food and pheromones.
5. Choose your path to victory
You can win by focusing on nest architecture , territorial control , population growth , or tactical battles with cards and armies. The variety of strategic paths ensures always different and competitive games.
