Winter Court

1. Objective:inWinter Courtyou are one of the tworival diplomatswho try to sway the royal court in their favor. You want to accumulatemore influenceof the opponent by conquering key characters of the castle.

   The court as a deck of characters:On the table are cards representing the members of the court (royals, nobles, ambiguous allies):prince, princess, steward, lover, knight, charlatan, jester, etc. Everyone haspowers and effectsthat modify the influence or control over other characters.
   
3. 
   Turn: Spend influence to approach someone:on your turn you use yourinfluenceForclaim a character cardfrom the court. You can aim directly at theroyalsor build a network firstintermediate alliesthat make the next blow easier (or more powerful).
   
4. 
   Combo and direct interaction:many cards work betterin combination: Getting the stewardship can give you more influence, the mistress can move favors, the knight opens more paths to the royals. Each choice changes the balance of the court andlimits the opponent's options.
   
5. 
   End of game and victory:The game ends when the end conditions are met (typically when the royals have been disputed or the deck runs out). Compare thetotal influenceobtained through the controlled characters: the diplomat who has won winsmanipulated the court better, not the one who simply took the most.
   

It's atense and strategic duel, made of timing, reading the opponent and subtle political choices.
