The FroGames Review
You are a medium. There is a ghost who wants to be understood. You knock, make noises, meow questions, and he answers with his elbows. Others pick the wrong profile, and you know that someone tonight will be drinking for penance.
WHAT IT IS
A party game where the dead are witty and the living fall for it
Dan Stong took Guess Who and Red Flags, got them drunk, and from that night, Boo-ty Call was born. Published in 2023 by Skybound Tabletop with illustrations by Zach M. Stafford, it is an erotic deduction party game where one player acts as the ghost, others as mediums, and everyone tries to figure out who the dead person is before they get bored and change the night up.
The Ghost draws a secret profile from eight possibilities, the Mediums ask questions, and they answer with knocks, charades, grimaces, or grunts (depending on the Séance card drawn). The first one to guess scores, while those who guess wrong wait for the next round. The first to reach 5 points wins, but in the meantime, everyone will have witnessed performances that will end up as group screenshots.
International buzz
"Boo-ty Call is a party game of deduction and seduction where lonely mediums interpret cryptic answers from a sexy ghost in a race to score!"
— Skybound Tabletop
If you’ve ever played Guess Who and wondered, 'but what if the character were a sexy ghost?', this is the game you didn't know you wanted.

What's in the box
Everything you need to summon (and seduce) the afterlife
Ghost Profile Cards
Eight ghost profiles with names, tastes, and spicy details. One is the true Ghost, the others are distractions on the table. You must figure out which.
Séance Cards
The questions that Mediums ask the ghost: age, passions, how they died. Each question can be asked only once per round, choose well.
Limited Communication
The Séance cards dictate HOW the Ghost must answer: table knocks, hands only, facial expressions, sounds without words. A shy person's hell.
Points and victory
Every Medium who guesses correctly scores a point, and so does the Ghost. The first to reach 5 wins. If you guess wrong, you wait for the next round in silence.

How to play
The flow of each round
A round lasts 5-15 minutes: questions, constrained answers, final choice.
One player becomes the Ghost, draws a Ghost Profile card, reads it, and shuffles it with the other seven on the table, arranged in a 2x4 grid.
Players take turns as Mediums drawing Séance cards and asking questions. The Ghost responds using only the method indicated on the card (knocks, gestures, faces, sounds).
When a Medium thinks they know who the Ghost is, they tap a card. If they are wrong, they are out of the round. If they guess right, they score immediately and wait for the round to end.
When the Séance cards run out or the Ghost ends the round, all remaining Mediums make their choice. Those who guessed correctly (and the Ghost) score a point. The player to the left becomes the new Ghost.

What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
The Ghost studies their profile
One of you becomes the ghost, draws a profile card, and reads it in secret. The others see eight profiles on the table and don't know which one it is. The Ghost shuffles their card into the deck and starts to sweat: soon they will have to respond without words.
First clues, first interpretations
The Mediums start asking questions by drawing Séance cards. The Ghost must respond with knocks, gestures, or faces. Someone laughs immediately, someone else makes a mental note. The answers are ambiguous and everyone is already thinking about who it could be.
Someone takes a leap of faith too soon
A Medium thinks they've figured it out and taps a card on the table. They're wrong. The Ghost smiles, the eliminated player gets comfortable: now they can only watch the others try. The tension rises, the questions become more precise.
The séances end
The Séance cards have run out or the Ghost has decided that time is up. All Mediums still in the game must choose a profile. Whoever taps last knows what the others have chosen, a huge advantage. Whoever guesses correctly scores, whoever is wrong watches.
The Ghost reveals themselves
The profile card is flipped. Whoever guessed correctly cheers and scores a point (plus one for the Ghost). Whoever was wrong swears and asks for a rematch. The player to the left of the Ghost becomes the new ghost, and it starts all over again. First to 5 wins, but nobody wants to stop.

Ages 17+, for a reason
The ghost profiles contain double entendres, sexual references, and awkward situations. This is not a family game: it's great for adult evenings with the right sense of humor. If someone in the group is uncomfortable with these themes, skip this title.
You have to act, even poorly
If there are very shy people in the group, or people who hate performing, the game falls flat. The Ghost must interpret without words, and if they freeze up, everything stops. You don't need to be a great actor, but you do need to put yourself out there. Evaluate your group beforehand.
Under 5 players, it's lacking
The box says 3-8, but with 3-4 players the table is empty and deductions become too easy. The game is best with 5-8 people: more Mediums = more chaos = more laughs. With fewer, consider something else.
🏆Victory and defeatWhat the ending rewards▼
How it ends
How to win and how to be eliminated
The first player (Ghost or Medium) to reach 5 points wins the game.
Victory
- Accumulate 5 points by guessing the profiles as a Medium
- Accumulate 5 points by having others guess your profile as the Ghost
- Combine points from both roles: you change positions every round
Elimination from the round
- You tap the wrong Ghost Profile card: you are out of the current round
- You can no longer ask questions or guess until the next round
- You sit back and watch the others try (and laugh at their mistakes)
Boo-ty Call is a party game that does exactly what it promises: it causes embarrassment, makes you laugh, and always ends with someone asking for a rematch.

FAQ about Boo-ty Call
What mechanics does Boo-ty Call use?
It is a party game based on deduction, limited communication, and acting. Players must interpret non-verbal clues (acting), make choices under pressure (race), and read ambiguous answers (targeted clues). It's like Charades meets Guess Who, but with an adult, humorous theme.
Is it good for an evening with people who don't know each other well?
Yes, but with one condition: everyone must be comfortable with edgy humor. If the group has the right spirit and no one is easily offended, Boo-ty Call is an excellent icebreaker. If there are reserved or shy people, a less provocative party game like Wavelength or Codenames might be better.
How long do games last?
A complete game (up to 5 points) lasts 45-90 minutes with 5-8 players. Each individual round lasts 5-15 minutes depending on how many Séance cards are used and how quickly the Mediums guess. You can also play individual rounds as a quick filler.
Can you play with fewer than 5 people?
Technically yes (the box says 3-8), but with fewer than 5 players, the game loses a lot. With few Mediums, the deductions become too easy, and the chaos that makes Boo-ty Call fun is missing. It is designed for medium to large groups.
Is it available in Italian?
No, this edition is in English. The cards contain descriptive text (ghost profiles, Séance questions) that requires a good grasp of the language. There are no official rules or fan translations in Italian at this time.
The people behind the game
