From a design standpoint, Sagrada is a triumph of mechanical elegance. The heart of the system is Dice Drafting : each turn, dice are rolled and selected in a serpentine pattern (back and forth), creating a constant tension between taking what you need and denying what your opponent needs. The personal board imposes a rigid grid pattern, similar to Sudoku but visually satisfying. Orthogonal adjacency constraints (no identical colors or numbers next to each other) create a "decision funnel": initially, you have complete freedom, but towards the end of the game, every move becomes a critical calculation.
