Designed by Laurent Closier and published by Nuts! Publishing, Phantom Fury: Second Edition puts you in command of a Marine battalion during the Second Battle of Fallujah, November 2004. One of the most intense urban combat operations of the Iraq War, reconstructed with tactical and historical attention. This second edition introduces variability in insurgent strength, optional rules for direct enemy fire, RPGs, and civilian population dynamics.
Move Marine squads zone by zone in the Jolan district, assaulting buildings without knowing what awaits you. Enemy snipers track you as you advance through the streets. Insurgents can be guerrillas ready to vanish using planned escape routes, martyrs fighting to the death, or false alarms. You have close air support, UAVs, anti-tank teams, and Abrams tanks to help you. But every decision has a cost in time, resources, and lives. If you do not control all the zones on the map by the end of the game, you lose. Otherwise, you calculate victory points based on time taken, and friendly and enemy casualties: major, minor, or costly victory.

What you actually command
Marine Squads
Your basic units. They move zone by zone, assault buildings, and control territory. Every loss counts: the battalion is limited and every squad out of play reduces your tactical options.
Air Support and UAVs
Stand-off assets that you call when needed: aerial reconnaissance, support fire on enemy zones. A limited resource, you must decide when it is worth using them instead of risking a direct assault.
CAAT and Abrams
Combined Anti-Armour Teams and M1 Abrams tanks for close support. Heavy firepower that can make the difference in difficult assaults, but they must be positioned well to cover lines of fire.
Assault modes
You can assault buildings in different ways: fast but risky, slow and methodical, with heavy support. Each mode has trade-offs in time, resources, and probability of success. Choose based on what you think you will find inside.
