FroGames — Moments You'll Remember
You opened the box. Now you must fix it — one puzzle at a time, one enigma at a time, together.
What it's about
The first time a puzzle asked you to save the world
In myth, Pandora opened the box out of curiosity and unleashed chaos upon the world. In Pandora's Legacy, that story continues — and it's up to you to fix it. Developed through the extraordinary collaboration between TED-Ed and PostCurious, with illustrations by Senne Trip, this game is something you've never seen before.
At its heart is a 1200+ piece jigsaw puzzle set in mythological Greece. But assembling the puzzle is just the beginning: to unlock new pieces, you'll have to solve escape room-style enigmas, decode physical artifacts, and navigate a digital interface that guides you step by step.
12–15 hours of cooperative adventure spread across multiple sessions. An experience to share with those you love solving mysteries with — or with those who simply adore extraordinary puzzles.
The secret of Pandora's Legacy
It's not a puzzle. It's not an escape room. It's something completely new that uses both to tell an immortal myth — and make you feel a part of it.
The secret of Pandora's Legacy in one line
Every piece you fit opens an enigma. Every enigma solved reveals a new fragment of the story. You won't stop — and you won't forget.
From the game experience
Pandora's Legacy
The puzzle and enigmas work perfectly solo — it's an immersive and personal experience. With 2–3 people, however, the variety of approaches to the puzzles makes everything richer.
What you find in the box
Four levels of discovery
1200+ piece Jigsaw
A map of mythological Greece illustrated by Senne Trip. It grows as the adventure progresses — you can't see the full picture at first.
Envelopes and boxes with Greek letters
Each one is an enigma waiting. Some contain other puzzle pieces, others physical artifacts to manipulate and solve.
Integrated digital interface
The world map, solution checking, progressive hint system. Works from a browser — no app to install.
Physical artifacts to discover
Surprise components that unlock during the game. We don't describe what they are — discovering them is part of the experience.
In a few sessions, you'll have solved a myth. And you bet the ending will stick with you.

A five-part session
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Open the box. The myth begins.
The lid lifts and you find envelopes, small boxes, mysterious objects — each marked with a Greek letter. The puzzle is vast, promising, intriguing. You don't know where to start yet. That's exactly the right feeling.
The puzzle takes shape. And hides secrets.
You're fitting pieces together, details emerge — mythological creatures, landscapes, symbols. Then you notice some pieces have numbers on the back. Then that certain shapes don't quite fit. Then that the puzzle itself is an enigma. Everything changes.
The first envelope opens. There's no going back.
You've solved the first enigma, entered the code into the interface, and now you can open Alpha. Inside is something you didn't expect. The table goes quiet. Everyone watches. Someone says "wait, so then..." and from that moment on, concentration is total.
You've been stuck for twenty minutes. Then: click.
There's always an enigma that gets stuck. You look at it, rotate it, discuss it. Then someone says something trivial and suddenly everything aligns. That feeling — that satisfaction — is the heart of the experience. It's worth every minute of impasse.
The ending stays with you for days.
Pandora's Legacy concludes with a moment no one expects. It's not a solution — it's a declaration. Those who have played know what we're talking about. Those who haven't played yet: they deserve to discover it for themselves.
How to play
The flow of each session
There are no turns, no rules to learn. You proceed by discovery. Each step unlocks the next.
Start with the available puzzle portion. As you work, hidden details emerge — numbers on the backs of pieces, anomalous shapes, visual clues waiting to be read.
The enigmas ask you to observe, decode, connect physical and visual elements. Some solutions are immediate, others require collaboration. The progressive hint system guides you without spoilers.
Each correct solution allows you to open new content — more puzzle pieces, envelopes with physical enigmas, surprise objects. The box gradually empties as the story unfolds.
Pandora's Legacy has a carefully designed beginning, middle, and end. It's not a puzzle for its own sake — it's a tale that leads somewhere. The ending is worth the journey.
Why it's different from others
Six reasons why you won't forget Pandora's Legacy
Wall-worthy Art
Senne Trip's illustrations are rich, beautiful, mythologically accurate. The completed jigsaw is a work of art to display — every detail hides a meaning you only understand at the end of the game.
Physical and Digital Merge
The online interface isn't an app to install — it's a world map that updates as you progress, with solution checks and intelligent hints. No other puzzle does this.
Physical Artifacts to Manipulate
It's not just cards and envelopes. Some enigmas unlock physical objects that must be examined, rotated, interpreted. The tactile component adds a dimension few games can offer.
Spoiler-free Hint System
PostCurious is famous for its progressive hint approach. You can ask for a small clue without giving away the solution. Nobody gets stuck for hours — unless they want to.
Completely Resettable
Unlike most tabletop escape rooms, Pandora's Legacy can be reassembled and gifted again. No component is destroyed, no choice is permanent. It's a gift that keeps on giving.
Greek Mythology Like Never Before
TED-Ed brings years of educational production into play. Myth isn't background — it's structure. Those who know the characters gain additional layers of understanding. Those who don't learn them by playing.
How it ends
Two outcomes, one path
Pandora's Legacy is not a competitive game — it's an adventure to complete. But not all roads necessarily lead to the same ending.
Completion
- Solve all enigmas and unlock all box contents
- The puzzle reaches its final form — the map of mythological Greece is complete
- The narrative ending is revealed: a conclusion worth every hour invested
The box speaks
- If you get stuck, the progressive hint system guides you without spoiling the satisfaction
- You can play in multiple sessions — the box waits, the puzzle remains assembled
- There's no "game over" — there are only enigmas to solve, sooner or later
Pandora's Legacy won the Room Escape Artist Golden Lock Award 2025 for best puzzle experience of the year. A recognition that speaks for itself.
Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ about Pandora's Legacy
Do I need to love puzzles to enjoy it?
Not necessarily. If you love escape rooms, narrative, or Greek mythology, you'll find full satisfaction even without being an expert puzzler. The jigsaw is the game's structure, not its endpoint. That said, if puzzles deeply bore you, the first phase might seem long.
How many hours does it really take? Can it be broken into sessions?
12–15 total hours, which almost everyone spreads over multiple sessions over weeks. There's no obligation for continuity — just cover the puzzle between sessions. The box is designed for real life, not for weekend marathons.
Is it truly replayable? Or is it single-use like other escape games?
It is completely resettable. No component is destroyed, no choice is permanent. You can reassemble everything and let another group play — or keep it as a display item. It's one of its strengths compared to the competition.
With how many people does it work best?
With 2–3 people, the experience is most balanced: enough hands for the puzzle, enough minds for the enigmas. Solo play works well and is more intimate. With 4 people, the puzzle progresses faster, but some phases of the enigmas can feel crowded.
Do you need to know Greek mythology?
No. Those who know the myths gain an extra layer of understanding — but everything necessary is provided by the experience itself. TED-Ed built the game to be accessible even to those who know nothing of Zeus or Pandora. If anything, it's a great opportunity to learn.
Is it available in Italian?
This is the English edition. The linguistic component is present but doesn't dominate — many enigmas are visual or logical. The digital interface and instructions are in English, so a basic understanding of the language is recommended.
