HOW TO PLAY NEMESIS CARNOMORPHS PREPARING THE NIGHTMARE Replace the basic Intruders board with the new Carnomorph board. Place the Larva, Drooler, and Butcher tokens in the alien development bag. Replace the basic corpses with the new specific miniatures to take advantage of the macabre mechanics of mutation and consumption of remains. TURN SEQUENCE AND MUTATIONS Turn 1) EXPLORATION AND MOVEMENT. Players move their characters through the dark rooms of the spaceship, searching for useful objects and avoiding making noise. Every single misstep can lead to deadly encounters with hostile lifeforms. Turn 2) APPEARANCE OF LARVAE AND CONSUMPTION OF CORPSES. If a Carnomorph finds itself in the same room as a human corpse or an alien carcass, it immediately and brutally feeds on it. Remove the corpse and replace the monster with its unstoppable, larger-sized evolution. Turn 3) INFECTION MANAGEMENT AND COMBAT. Players tactically use their moves to attack, escape, or attempt to cure the deadly mutagenic infections. Contract too many mutations and your character will suffer fatal, irreversible damage. Turn 4) CARNOMORPHS BOARD DEVELOPMENT. Draw a token from the alien bag to determine how the monsters move, multiply, or evolve within the silent corridors of the spaceship. VICTORY AND SURVIVAL. Achieve your secret personal objectives and quickly escape the infected ship via the escape pods or into complete hibernation. Surviving this nightmare requires strong nerves, tactical cunning, and often the inevitable sacrifice of other crew members.
