Lo Starter Set di Twilight Sword è una scatola cubica che ricorda uno scrigno magico, progettata per introdurre i giocatori a questo GDR fantasy ispirato a videogiochi classici come The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy e Ni No Kuni, e alle atmosfere dello Studio Ghibli. Twilight Sword è un GDR in stile anime creato da Two Little Mice e pubblicato da Free League.
Il set contiene regole complete di base, una mini-campagna introduttiva (Twilight Island), 7 dadi poliedrici (inclusi due d12), 6 schede Campione pregenerati, oltre 60 carte, 40 segnalini stato e 4 boons (gettoni in plastica). Il gioco usa un sistema originale chiamato CAT (Created at Twilight) che risolve le azioni con un tiro di d12: 1 è successo critico, 12 è fallimento critico.
I giocatori esplorano il mondo di Radia, raccogliendo Speranza sconfiggendo i boss. Cinque Kin giocabili includono gli Huma (umani), i Kedi (felini) e i Pengu (pinguini). La mini-campagna inclusa, Twilight Island, introduce una nuova locazione misteriosa esclusiva dello Starter Set.
