HOW TO PLAY GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS 👻🎄🕰️

A game of tricks… in three different eras at the same time.

1) Dealing the cards and declaring the trick

Each round you begin by receiving your hand and declaringhow many tricks do you think you'll win.

It's classic trick-taking… until they come into playPast, Present and Future.

2) Each player has three spaces: one for each era

In front of you are three numbered slots:

– Trick of the Past

– Trick of the Present

– Trick of the Future

When you play a card, you decide which era to place it in.

The first card played in a specific eraestablishes the seed to followfor that trick.

3) You can play out of order… but tricks are resolved in chronological order

Here's the magic of the game:

– you can play the Future before the Past,

– you can fill the Present even if others are playing elsewhere,

– you can jump from one era to another without limits.

But when everyone has played in all three slots, the tricks are resolvedin order: Past → Present → Future.

Understanding who will “lead” each trick is the whole strategic heart.

4) Read your opponents and manipulate the grip leader

Since cards in an age can be played late but resolved early, you must:

– predict who is trying to take control of the Past,

– sabotage the Present with the right seed,

– place yourself best in the Future played by others.

It's a continuous mental puzzle:bluffing, timing and time-based puzzles.

5) Score: Keep your promise and collect garlands

At the end of the three tricks of the round, you check how many tricks you actually won.

If you have fulfilled your declaration, you get points andgarlands.

Play as many hands as there are players.

At the end of the game, who hasmore points and more garlandsbecomes the master of Christmas… and of time.

The table fills with ghosts, and not because it's Christmas:
the real spectrum is uncertainty.
You play a card in the past, someone throws it in the future, another puts it in the present, and suddenly you no longer know who is leading what — but you feel that the solution is there, hidden in an order that no one is respecting.

In Ghosts of Christmas every move is an intuition:
You wonder if you're following the right suit, if you're manipulating the trick guide, or if you're just fooling yourself as you try to guess how many tricks you'll take home…
because here it's not enough to win them: you have to predict how many you will win.

Winning is hard. Predicting it… is another level.
