Vlaada Chvátil returns with an expansion that does exactly what an expansion should: it adds challenges, increases chaos, and leaves you the freedom to choose how much you want to complicate your life. Galaxy Trucker: Keep on Trucking was re-released by Cranio Creations in 2022, retaining the best of the original edition and adding modular content that you can mix as you prefer. Illustrations by Tomáš Kučerovský continue the series' irreverent visual tradition.
The expansion introduces new spaceships with absurd shapes, new adventures that challenge even veterans, and especially the Rough Roads cards: events that transform a quiet routine journey into a spatiotemporal delirium. Add new tactical components, aliens with unique abilities, and the ability to calibrate the difficulty exactly as you want. Every element is modular: choose what to use based on the group and the evening's mood.

Absurd Spaceships
Corp Inc has decided to test new spaceship designs. Some have inexplicable holes. Others look like they were designed by someone in a spatial delirium. Building them is a challenge, keeping them alive is a miracle.
Rough Roads Cards
Events that turn a routine flight into a spatiotemporal nightmare. Anomalous storms, temporal paradoxes, unexpected meteorites. Each Rough Roads card increases the chaos by an order of magnitude.
New aliens
Each alien has a unique ability that changes how you build and fly. Some help you survive, others push you to take more risks. Choose carefully, or let chance decide.

A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Chaos choice
Even before you start, you have to decide how much you want to suffer. Which spaceships? Which adventures? Which Rough Roads cards? There's always someone who suggests using everything together. And there's always someone who agrees.
Building under pressure
The timer is ticking, the tiles are scattered, and your new spaceship has a shape that makes no sense. You try to fit an engine where there's no space. Someone laughs. You sweat. Time runs out and half the ship is still empty.
The first Rough Roads event
The flight begins. The first Rough Roads card is revealed. It's worse than you thought. Double meteorites. Or a time paradox. Or a storm that reverses movements. Someone already loses two tiles. The laughter turns nervous.
Alien ability saves (or condemns) everything
You use your alien's ability at the right moment and avoid total disaster. Or you use it at the wrong moment and turn a small problem into a catastrophe. In both cases, the table explodes. Laughter covers the groans.
Damage count
End of flight. You count the credits, subtract the damage, and discover that someone else's ridiculous spaceship scored more points than yours. Someone immediately suggests a rematch. With even more absurd spaceships. And you say yes.
How to play
The flow of each round
Galaxy Trucker: Still on the Road doesn't change the basic system. It adds content and complexity, not new phases.
Decide which expansion elements to use: spaceships, adventures, Rough Roads cards, aliens. You can use all or just some. Modularity is at the heart of the expansion.
Use the new, absurdly shaped spaceships. Build in real-time by drawing tiles from the common supply. Now the shapes are even harder to fill. Good luck.
Reveal the adventure cards one by one. If you chose Rough Roads cards, every event is amplified. Meteorites, pirates, malfunctions. Use your alien's ability to survive.
Add up earned credits, subtract penalties for damage and lost tiles. Whoever has the most money wins. But the true winner is the one with the most absurd story to tell.

Spaceships with impossible shapes
Corp Inc's new spaceships have configurations that defy logic. Holes in the middle, strange protrusions, areas that seem designed to fail. Building them is an even more difficult puzzle, and surviving with them is almost a miracle.
Rough Roads cards that turn everything upside down
They are not simple events. They are chaos multipliers. They take a normal adventure and turn it into a spatial frenzy. Anomalous storms, time inversions, cluster meteorites. Each Rough Roads card is a new threat.
Aliens with asymmetrical abilities
Each alien has a unique power that changes your playstyle. Some allow you to manipulate the flight, others give you construction advantages, and others push you to take more risks for greater rewards. Choose wisely, or play randomly.
Total modularity
You don't have to use everything. You can mix only the new spaceships, or only the Rough Roads cards, or only the aliens. Each element is independent and combinable. Calibrate the difficulty according to the group and the table's experience.
New adventures for veterans
The included adventures are designed for those who already know Galaxy Trucker and want more challenges. Denser combat zones, more aggressive pirates, more frequent meteorites. If the base game seemed easy, these will put you back in your place.
Exponential replayability
Between spaceships, aliens, adventures, and Rough Roads cards, the possible combinations are enormous. Each game can be completely different from the last. And you can always raise or lower the level of madness according to the group.

Still on the Road does not change the base game's victory conditions. But it makes them much harder to achieve.

Is it mandatory to use all expansion elements together?
No, quite the opposite. Still on the Road is completely modular. You can use only the new spaceships, or only the Rough Roads cards, or only the aliens. Or everything together if you want total chaos. The strength of the expansion lies precisely in this: you choose the difficulty level you prefer.
Are the new spaceships harder to build?
Yes, very much so. The shapes are stranger, the holes are absurdly placed, and filling them in real-time is a challenge even for veterans. But that's precisely the fun: building something that seems impossible and then making it fly (or explode).
Do the Rough Roads cards make the game too difficult?
It depends on how much you want to suffer. Rough Roads amplify the chaos, but you can use only some or none at all. If you have a group of beginners, it's better to avoid them in the first few games. If you have bored veterans, they are perfect.
Can I play with this expansion if I'm just starting out?
Technically yes, but we recommend playing at least 2-3 games with the base game first. Still on the Road adds complexity and challenges designed for those who already know the mechanics. If you start directly with the expansion, you risk being overwhelmed by chaos.
