⚔️🛡️ Falling Sky – Legions, tribes and intrigues: Gaul is not conquered "quietly"
Falling Sky – The Gallic Revolt Against Caesar is a high-tension wargame where war is only half the story: the other half is politics , alliances and betrayals between tribes who want to survive (and maybe even rule) under the shadow of Rome.
Caesar and his legions strike hard, but they can't be everywhere: victory requires local allies , well-managed resources, and decisive decisions. You recruit forces, convince tribes, prepare campaigns... and then decide when to concentrate your attack and when to spread out to avoid leaving space for others.
The good (and bad) thing is that no one plays alone on the table: each Gallic confederation has its own agenda, and while you guard the Romans, you must also keep an eye on Celtic, Belgian, and Germanic rivals. It's a strategic board game for those who enjoy planning, map reading, and accepting that every victory comes at a price.
This is the Deluxe Edition : the base game and the Ariovistus expansion, all in one box. And if you want a "commander's" table, there's also a neoprene Gallia map mat as a dedicated accessory.
🎯 COME SI GIOCA
⚔️ Falling Sky – Gaul burns. Caesar advances. And you discover that war is more about politics than it is about battle.
A great tabletop wargame where every ally is a risk and every victory has a price: it's not enough to fight, you have to control the chaos.
You don't win the campaign with one shot.
There is no “heroic” move here.
There's the move that keeps you standing while everything else falls apart.
Gaul is not conquered: it is occupied, nervous, ready to explode.
And you're not playing "a good side." You're playing an agenda.
A goal that often forces you to look askance even at your “allies”.
Caesar has legions, yes.
But he can't be everywhere. And he knows it.
This is why the real game is a race against the cracks: tribes to be convinced, resources to be made lasting, rebellions to be ignited (or stifled) when it hurts most.
Every choice is a political sentence:
you shift forces and send a signal, you concentrate the attack and expose yourself, you disperse control and lose bite.
And when battle breaks out, it's never "just a battle": it's the inevitable consequence of weeks of pressure.
Falling Sky is long, tense, beautiful.
And it leaves you with that rare feeling:
you didn't win because you shot better.
You won because you managed better a world that didn't want to be managed.
Mechanics with Sense – “Caesar cannot be everywhere: and you live to exploit that void.”
The tension of Falling Sky stems from a simple truth: control is always incomplete.
If focusing makes you lethal, it also makes you predictable.
If you scatter, you breathe… but you lose strength in the decisive blow.
And in the middle are the allies:
Today they serve you, tomorrow they block you, the day after tomorrow they betray you.
Because in Gaul no one fights “for you”: they fight for themselves.
When you start playing on that edge, the game becomes a pure power play:
you don't look for the bigger battle.
You look for the battle that comes after you have prepared the ground.
Deluxe Edition – Base + Expansion, in a “definitive” box
This Deluxe Edition collects in one complete edition:
- the base game Falling Sky
- the Ariovistus expansion
packaged together in a square box, designed to have everything in order and ready at the table, with a striking cover that immediately sets the tone: here the story is not a setting... it's the game.
FroGames Closing: If you want a wargame that makes you feel truly “in command”… be prepared: Gaul is unforgiving.
