The playmat that organizes the chaos of the World Dungeon
Two sides, two settings. Your desk stops being a mess of tokens and cards — it becomes the game board Carl deserved.
What it is
The accessory that turns your table into the World Dungeon
Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable is a roguelike deckbuilder set on the first three floors of the World Dungeon — chaotic, dense with cards, tokens, threats, and a common market. Without order, the game board becomes a mess. With a playmat, you stop looking for where to put things: everything has its place, and your eye immediately knows where to look.
The Solo / Normal Playmat is double-sided. On one side, the artwork of the World Dungeon with the staircase leading to the next floor. On the other, Grimaldi's World of Freaks. In solo mode, you can use a single playmat for your personal and common area, flipping it as needed — or two, one for each side, for the ultimate setup.
Technically, it's not essential for playing. But anyone who tries Unstoppable knows that the game's flow — between threat cards, personal deck, core market, and ascent tokens — demands a dedicated space. The playmat is the accessory that separates the first confusing game from the next ten smooth ones.
The secret of the playmat in one line
One side reminds you where you're going. The other reminds you who's watching you do it.
World Dungeon vs Grimaldi's World of Freaks
Cards, tokens, threats, market. Without a playmat it's chaos. With a playmat it's Carl's chaos — organized.
From gaming experience
The two sides
Two settings, one surface
Flipping the playmat changes the game's atmosphere — without changing its function. Both sides have designated play areas to organize cards, tokens, and threats where they're needed.
World Dungeon
The iconic staircase leading to the next floor. Classic dungeon atmosphere — the one that reminds you why Carl is down there, why the light is dim, and why every move matters.
Grimaldi's World of Freaks
The other face of the dungeon: the show, the sponsors, the camera's eye. When you want to feel the pressure of galactic live-streaming while playing, flip the playmat.
What it really does
Four reasons to have it on your table
Delimited areas
Player board, threats, deck, market, ascent tokens. Each zone has its designated printed spot — no more scattered cards or lost tokens.
Faster setup
The playmat acts as a visual map. Open the box, follow the areas, and you're ready to play. The learning curve is lowered from the second game onwards.
Solo or common area
One playmat covers the personal area OR the common area in solo play. Two playmats cover both — the setup the designers intended.
Official artwork
Same visual language as the base game and Matt Dinniman's novel. The table doesn't look like a setup — it looks like the World Dungeon.
Carl wouldn't ask permission before descending to the next floor. The playmat helps you be just as ready.

About the base game
Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable
Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable is a solo/cooperative roguelike deckbuilder designed by John D. Clair and published by Renegade Game Studios. Set on the first three floors of the World Dungeon, it puts you in the shoes of Carl or Princess Donut from Matt Dinniman's famous novel. Card-crafting, momentum deckbuilding, and limitless threats — the playmat is not mandatory for playing but is the most requested accessory by campaign backers.
This playmat is sold separately from the base game. English edition.
