Someone counts the remaining meat, someone calculates the damage, someone draws from the reserve. And in the end, no one talks about who lost their best creature.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT
A tactical duel in a dystopian world of cannibal animals
Cannibal World is an expandable tactical duel card game designed by Rafael Campos, José Molina, and Paloma Pérez, with award-winning illustrations by Oscar Martin. Set in a dystopian post-apocalyptic world, the game portrays the clash between factions of anthropomorphic animals fighting for survival in a ruthless ecosystem where cannibalism is the norm.
Each player chooses one of the four available factions and customizes their deck. At the table, you manage resources (meat), summon creatures, engage in close-quarters or ranged combat, and activate special abilities. You win by eliminating all of your opponent's creatures or by raiding their habitat three times. Tactical choices matter, timing is crucial, and each game builds increasing tension.
What they say abroad
A surprising mix of resource management, tactical combat, and artwork that leaves you speechless. The mechanics are accessible but the choices are profound.

Deck-building meets direct duel. Each faction has a strong identity, each game tells a different war story.

Cannibal World
Your weapons
Creatures, resources, and survival tactics
Meat
The vital resource. Serve meat to summon creatures, activate abilities, attack. Manage it poorly and you'll run out of options.
Creatures
Your army. Each creature has attack, defense stats, special abilities. Summon them from the Main Deck or the Reinforcement Deck.
Combat Cards
Melee and ranged attacks. Resolve damage, destroy enemy creatures, or raid the opponent's habitat.
Habitat
Your territory. If your opponent raids it three times, you lose. Defend it with creatures or take the risk to attack.
Recommended Sleeves 208 cards in 1 size ▼
If you play often, we recommend protecting your cards with transparent sleeves to make them last a long time.

In an hour, you'll have eliminated an army or lost your own. And you'll tell the story of that one creature that held out until the very end.
A game in five moments
What happens at the table
Not the rules. The experience.
Choosing a faction
Choose your faction, prepare your two decks (Main and Reinforcement). Study the unique abilities, imagine your first moves. Your opponent does the same. The tension begins even before drawing your opening hand.
The first evocations
You draw, count the available meat, evoke your first creature. Your opponent responds. The table fills up. No one attacks yet, but everyone knows the first hit is coming soon.
The first clash
Someone attacks. Damage is calculated, a creature dies. Discarded cards pile up. You realize that every turn is a choice: defend your habitat or eliminate enemy threats.
The desperate raid
Your opponent doesn't have enough creatures to defend. You raid their habitat. Once. Twice. One raid away from victory, but the enemy draws reinforcements and counterattacks. The tide turns.
The last creature
One of the two players runs out of creatures. Or the habitat falls for the third time. Someone wins, someone counts the cards left in their deck and wonders what would have happened with one more turn.
How to play
The flow of each turn
Alternate turns. Each turn is a sequence of tactical choices that balances resources, evocations, and combat.
Draw a card from your Main Deck or Reinforcement Deck. Choose which deck to draw from based on your current strategy.
Spend meat to evoke creatures, activate abilities, play action cards. Manage this resource carefully: each choice limits subsequent ones.
Declare attacks with your creatures. Choose whether to target enemy creatures (direct damage) or raid the opponent's habitat. The opponent defends or suffers losses.
Resolve end-of-turn effects, prepare your next move. Control passes to the opponent. The game continues until victory or elimination.
Why it's different from others
Six mechanics that make a difference
Two decks, one strategy
Each player has a Main Deck and a Reinforcement Deck. You draw from whichever you need at the moment. It's not a single deck: it's a double tactical resource that changes the approach to classic deck-building.
Meat as the central resource
Meat counters fuel everything. Evoking, activating, attacking: every action has a cost. Management is tight, never abundant. Every meat point poorly spent is felt.
Asymmetrical factions
The four factions have unique abilities, customizable decks, and different playstyles. It's not just graphics: each faction dictates a different tactic and radically changes the experience.
Two-track combat
Melee and ranged attacks. You can target enemy creatures or directly raid the habitat. Two paths to victory, two different pressures on the opponent.
Double victory condition
Eliminate all opposing creatures (hand, field, decks) or raid their habitat three times. Tension rises because each game can end in two different ways, and you must defend on both fronts.
Visceral art by Oscar Martin
Award-winning illustrations that define the atmosphere. It's not just aesthetics: the dystopian world of cannibalistic animals comes to life in the cards, and each creature has a strong visual identity that helps to remember it.
How it ends
How to win and how to lose
Two victory conditions, two ways to apply pressure. The game ends when one player achieves an objective or is eliminated.
Victory
- Eliminate all opposing creatures (field, hand, and decks completely emptied)
- Raid the enemy habitat three times (direct attacks that overcome defenses)
- The opponent can no longer draw cards or play creatures
Defeat
- All your creatures are eliminated (no more creature cards available)
- Your habitat suffers three raids (territory falls definitively)
- You have no more resources or cards to continue playing
Cannibal World is a pure tactical duel where every resource counts and every turn is a difficult choice. If you want uncompromising direct combat, this is your game.
Frequently asked questions
FAQ about Cannibal World
Is it a game only for two players or does it also work with more?
Cannibal World was born as a 1v1 duel, but supports up to 4 players. The best experience is with two: tactical combat and resource management are calibrated for direct dueling. With more players, interaction is slightly diluted, but it remains engaging.
Are the factions balanced or do some dominate?
The four factions are asymmetrical but balanced in the design phase. Each faction has strengths and tactical weaknesses. Victory depends more on deck construction and in-game choices than on the chosen faction. Expect a learning curve to master them all.
How expandable is the game?
Cannibal World is designed as an expandable game. The base box offers the four factions with customizable decks, but the structure allows for future expansions (new factions, cards, mechanics). The deck construction system leaves ample room for growth.
Do you need experience with tactical card games to start?
No. The rules are accessible and the turn structure is classic. If you've played Magic, KeyForge, or Netrunner you'll feel at home, but even newcomers can learn in 15-20 minutes. The depth emerges after a few games, not immediately.
Is it available in Italian?
This edition is in English. The cards contain text (creature abilities, effects). If your group reads English without problems, there are no obstacles. Otherwise, consider waiting for an Italian localization (not yet announced).
