🐸 HOW TO PLAY
1. Choose your civilization.
In Battalion: War of the Ancients, you begin by selecting one of four available factions, each with its own unique historical characteristics: the legendary Roman legionaries, the Han Dynasty crossbowmen, the Greco-Bactrian cavalry, or Hannibal's diverse armies. Each army offers different strengths and limitations, which will shape your strategy.
2. Build your units.
Each faction has ranks to organize into units. Adding more ranks makes the unit more powerful, but also more difficult to control. It's up to you to find the balance between brute force and tactical agility, creating versatile and maneuverable formations.
3. Play tactics cards.
Faction-specific cards represent unique strategies, maneuvers, and upgrades. Use them at the right time to surprise your opponent, exploit enemy weaknesses, or maximize the strength of your men. A timely decision can turn the tide of a battle.
4. Manage orders and resources.
Each turn requires a balance of orders and logistical support to keep units effective in the field. Too many orders can wear down troops, while a lack of discipline reduces their effectiveness. Careful management is the key to maintaining pressure on your opponent.
5. Achieve victory.
