Age of Wonders: Planetfall is a strategic board game (2–6) sci-fi space exploration: choose one of the surviving factions and lead your expedition through fragmented worlds, lost technology and conflicts for control.
The mood is "rebirth after collapse": each planet is an opportunity to score Empire points, but also a risk. You must know when to push aggression, when to invest in development, and when to seize that advantage that others are ignoring.
The game lasts seven rounds, and each round you change planets: you place workers to explore (twice per planet), gather resources, research technology, launch operations, and capture landmarks. In between, there's an open draft, set collection, and asymmetrical powers that make each commander unique.
Perfect as a board game for 2 to 6 players when you want a compact, strategic race (20–40 minutes) but full of choices. And finally, the endgame objectives reward those who have built their path best, not just those who have "won the most battles."
